No complaints. The PT appears to be working and I have much less glute and hip pain and the even the hammy lock-ups behind the knee are subsiding. Im on the upswing. It is still going to take more work but things seem to be improving. Gonna golf 18 holes tomorrow. Can’t wait. 1 Quote

What would you consider to be the more imminent threat, the oncoming car or the mower not even remotely close to the road? I am guessing they saw a potential rock thrown by the lawnmower as a bigger worry than your 3-4,000lb vehicle. Quote

On a related note and a huge pet peeve of mine(and I have probably complained about it before😂)…if there is any sort of vehicle pulled over blocking part of your lane, it doesn’t mean you have free reign to cross the double yellow into oncoming traffic. 😡 1 Quote

And the funny part about that is the mower was on the slope of a ditch and the physics of actually kicking a rock up into the road would be mind blowing. 12 minutes ago, LabattBlue said: On a related note and a huge pet peeve of mine(and I have probably complained about it before😂)…if there is any sort of vehicle pulled over blocking part of your lane, it doesn’t mean you have free reign to cross the double yellow into oncoming traffic. 😡 Yeah, that’s a big one. I’ve never understood why people will give a bigger buffer to a parked car than they will to the moving one. I get that people don’t have a good feel for exactly where the right side of their vehicle is, but that still should lead to crossing the yellow line with a car right there. Quote
LabattBlue Posted October 9 Author Report Posted October 9 Customer service is bad and getting worse as the years go by. Very few exceptions. 😞 2 Quote
mjd1001 Posted October 9 Report Posted October 9 speaking of drivers, this has always been something bothering me but seems to happen more and more... I park across the street, and then get out of my car and walk across the street to the store I am going to. I am the person who parks across the street from the store, or in the way back of the parking lot and do the walking. There often seems to be drivers, speeding down the street I want to cross. Doesn't matter that they are going 10 or 15 over the speedlimit. Doesn't matter they didn't come to a complete stop at the stop sign or didn't stop when making the right on red. Doesn't matter that I have the right of way, IN the crosswalk. None of that matters. If they want to drive 45mph down a street after a rolling stop and I am ANYWHERE near them in the crosswalk, I get the horn and an obscene gesture from them. How dare I be a pedestrian walking across the street in a crosswalk and inconveneice their normal (illegal) driving patterns. Quote

Very few exceptions. 😞 It almost feels in some retail outlets that they are looking at me and thinking “ what are you doing here, you know you can order that online”. We bought a car recently. They had a young employee give us old people an orientation on the car, all of the high tech bells and whistles. They had a kid was very pleasant and trying hard but wasn’t very familiar with the model. She was fumbling through stuff and we honestly could have done the same. Employee turnover is crazy at these places. Quote

I was outside a couple days ago around 5:30 a.m. And we had a little frost on our yard. To me that's not a complaint though, that's a positive. I'd much rather deal with 20° and 30° mornings then deal with the heat that we had this summer. Give me a cool day, give me a little snow in the winter. Honestly, I'd rather have a cloudy day than a bright Sunshine Day. Quote
