Quick, someone make a vague reference to a movie scene so we can get another cliche out of the way.

My personal favorite was the whole thing about two balls coming up at one point and they both should have counted. They then assume that the rest of the draw would have happened the same exact way they did, resulting in a Buffalo win. You don't think that maybe, just maybe, one less ball in the hopper would have had some sort effect on the rest of the draw?

When Rolston was originally hired for the AHL job, he was hired to be the next coach of the Sabres. I heard that right from the start from people with connections to Rolston. Buffalo was very high on him.

At around this time yesterday, the fluorescent lights above my desk went out. I immediately put in a request to have to fixed. As of now, they're still out. I just sent another message to remind them and they respond saying that it has just been passed along to the maintenance people and they should respond within 24 hours. So there you have it, the proper response time around here for replacing a light bulb is 48 hours. :wallbash:

Gaudreau entered the NHL as a 21 year old rookie. Eichel will be an 18/19 year old rookie (too lazy to look up exactly where his DOB falls).

There was a lot of disorder going into his junior season. It was Quinn's first year as a head coach and also the first time in about 200 years that BU had a new head coach. Combine all of that with a lot of turnover in talent and that probably goes a long way to explain the weak number that year, mostly across the board on the team. They were very young and raw, with not all that much talent to work with.

So 99 it is.

I was actually going to make the Brian Flynn comparison. Another guy who padded his stats skating with elite talent (Nyqvist). That's not to say that Flynn isn't a useful player though.

Maybe he'll wear 99.
