Revenue sharing has absolutely nothing to do with the wallet size of any individual owner. The whole goal is to get as close as possible to a scenario where every single owner makes money. This league exists as a single unit trying to make money for everyone. If you're making $10 a week and I'm losing $3, you kick a couple extra dollars my way to keep me out of the red, while still making money. In the big picture, they league revenue is still exactly the same. Those couple extra bucks keep me from shutting down my team. Sure, I might have a ton of money from other stuff, but you can't establish rules based on a rare circumstance. The more crazy conditions you throw into the agreement, the more difficult it becomes to follow.

I'm enjoying the stuff with the Browns today. The whole thing reminds me of the year where they did some wheeling and dealing and walked away with Brady Quinn. And on to Watkins. If nothing else, it's good to see us actually being one of the big stories of the draft day for once. In two quick years, we've turned a ridiculously thin core of WRs into what looks to be a very strong group. If they can patch up the line a bit in the 2nd, this offense stands to be very interesting. And let's face it, with the passing league this has turned out to be, we are moving in the right direction here. Now we just have to hope for the best with EJ...

I checked in on the interview and the response I got was that their department doesn't move very quickly and I shouldn't expect to hear anything anytime soon. So I can read the writing on the wall on that one. I'll never hear anything from them again, so I'm moving on. Sorry to hear about that weave. Were your families close at all?

We have the burial for my father-in-law this weekend, 4 months after his death. So this one is going to drag up a lot of mixed feelings for a few people. This weekend is definitely going to suck.

I get the impression from this story that she was looking solely for the sake of snooping. She was looking for an argument and she got one. Now we just need to know the severity of this incident, was it a legitimate attack or something that is getting blown out of proportion. I'm sure this one will just go away when cooler heads take over. If you ever get to the stage of picking out a rock, just tell the salesman to put the super fancy one away right away. Of course that $20,000 rock is going to look a million times better than the $5k one. And no matter which comparisons they try to line up, your eyes are always going to flock to that fancy one as long as it is out on the table.

I heard someone comment yesterday that he sometimes faced up to 5 blockers. I'd love to see how productive the offense that attempted that was.

I've never heard anything but his goal calls, but yes, he assaults my ears. Your link wasn't anywhere near as bad though. He usually gets to a much higher pitch than that. He also does one other thing that I hear from time to time with a few announcers. He will refer to a goal as "a score"... something along the lines of "and that was a score by Giroux". That one drives me crazy. Score should only be used as a verb, not a noun.

He's popping up in Boston a lot lately. It must be tied into the marathon and amputees. That and apparently he bought a new van for a handicapped child after the old one was stolen.

I hope that what he does between now and October isn't viewed as proof of anything.Even if he executes his plan exactly as he wants to this offseason, plans change. We will need to see how he adapts before we really know what he's all about. I hate bringing up the thought of evaluating him after three years because it will inevitably bring up responses about the old "three year rebuild", but that really does feel like the minimum amount of time before you can really know what kind of GM someone is.

The whole fan base is built on nostalgia, it seems. How many years did we listen to people wanting to bring back Nolan? Many want to bring back random ex-Sabres as coaches. Then there were plenty of bring back Briere or bring back Drury posts when they were about to be moved by the Flyers or Rags. Or how about the posts about how "every player is better once they leave"? Nope, we never say a single word around here about someone once they leave the Sabres.

He was playing at a Canadian college, so it is safe to assume that he is still enrolled there. So hopefully he's trying to make something of himself there. -
