  1. The problem is that they follow the same script every year. Strong start, then the wheels fall off with a bad stretch of losses. Then they heal up and go on a run. Can we just fast forward to the playoff loss to KC already? They need to do something to flip the script.
  2. That FG was probably going to go through the left side line.
  3. Can someone explain to me that flesh colored condom hat Penix is wearing?
  4. Update: He made it less than 90 seconds before the paw patrol request.
  5. I’ll be lucky to make it halfway into the first period before he’s begging for paw patrol. I’m not concerned.
  6. My personal favorite is the caller that will make some ridiculously stupid point and get buried for it. He then calls back with the same point for each other show somehow expecting a different response.
  7. I hate these noon starts, but you know what? I might as well take advantage of it. I’m taking the afternoon off so my 3 year old can watch his first ever game.
  8. They’re down 3 forwards from their planned opening roster. I doubt Geerston being in the roster was the plan. Him playing each game certainly wasn’t. Keeping him around once the ***** hit the fan and not calling up a better option? Yes, that one’s on Ruff. If they’re ever fully healthy, I can’t see the numbers working out to keep him up. But hey then we can be scared of the waiver claim that’s never coming.
  9. And depending on where this is on his face, your vision and airways come into play.
  10. An elite AHL backup. He’s not getting much playing time.

  12. Bad team missing a bunch of starters struggles in opener people lose their minds. Why do you all continue to do this to yourselves?
  13. Is this going to be the same team that can score in goals one night and then get shut out the next?
  14. I feel like I’m on the lowest end of the old guy group around here and I don’t think this reference was all that old. He played during our superbowl era and later.
  15. And the funny part about that is the mower was on the slope of a ditch and the physics of actually kicking a rock up into the road would be mind blowing. Yeah, that’s a big one. I’ve never understood why people will give a bigger buffer to a parked car than they will to the moving one. I get that people don’t have a good feel for exactly where the right side of their vehicle is, but that still should lead to crossing the yellow line with a car right there.
  16. A reference to a long since dead social media site? I guess they can go with sabrebook instead.
  17. An oncoming car this morning swerved into my lane to go around a lawnmower that was 10 feet off the side of the road. What would you consider to be the more imminent threat, the oncoming car or the mower not even remotely close to the road?
  18. Since we’re running with stupid stuff, play on history and call it sabredom.
  19. You can release players. The mutual agreement is how you get that contract off of the books. With a release, it still counts.
  20. The whole practice of giving a fanbase a name has always felt so dumb to me. That’s probably at least partly due to the fact that every single one was “nation” for a while.
  21. A gif the even looks like a zombie, nice.
  22. His planned number one had a late summer/early fall injury pop up. This isn’t a question of GM intelligence. Sure, question that choice of goalie, but the current situation really has very little to do with that.
  23. Hell, do we know if anyone else out in a claim? We’re very early in the priority order.
  24. Regardless of where the bar is, if he’s better than that, the team has just improved within the last 24 hours. I really hope that no one chimes in to say that he was claimed more than 24 hours ago.
  25. If they’re playing in junior, they don’t cost against the 50 contracts. Wasn’t there the suggestion at some point that Ratzlaff could go back as an overager? I have no idea if that’s possible or in the cards at all. I’ll still stick with my original thought on Georgiev. Let’s see if he reports now.
