Why are people so stupid?

He was never the hero of the whole city though. There are five D1 hockey teams all within a couple miles of each other in Boston (granted, no one cares about one of those teams). BC dominates that market, so Eichel was actually hated by much more of that so called hometown market than those that loved him. And then there's the region as a whole, far more teams than most can imagine. No one player is ever going to have the whole area's respect. That's only going to happen out west where it is far more isolated. He wants to be more than just a local legend and that will never be accomplished at the NCAA level. You know who is a local legend around that area? This guy.

The news has the video, so the police have the video. The only reason the company wouldn't be aware of it is because they're intentionally avoiding it.

I'd still take that over the end result for this pickup truck.

And the lesson is, don't mess around on the roads because you have no idea what is behind the wheel of any other car.

And a couple other forwards projected as first/second round picks in the next two drafts, along with the son of a former Terrier/NHLer they're trying to recruit right now. They're bringing in a ton of talent and they're more than likely planning on using Eichel's scholarship for someone else.

Those are the kind of things I can't tell from just the video. Was it the thruway? I do wonder if the truck driver may have actually saved the whole thing from being far worse. I have no clue how those things handle, but I get the feeling he played some role in the whole wreck going off the road and the shoulder. There's no way that other truck behind him was going to be able to stop if any of those three cars had remained on the road.

One thing he does have going for him is that, as far as I remember, you never see his brake lights light up. So at least from that video, he could very well be moving at a good speed. For all we know from that video, it very well may be the truck driver speeding up so that he can't pass. I doubt anyone believes that for one second, but it could definitely be argued based on that video.

No one's defending the Camaro... well, except for maybe PA trying to come up with his crazy scenarios. I was talking specifically about the pickup truck in what you quoted. He may not have done anything wrong legally, but he was definitely an agitator in what played out. And thanks to me using that description, I am now picturing Brad Marchand behind the wheel of that pickup.

I can't imagine there was anything wrong legally, unless he's well below the speed limit at that point (not sure what the law's view is on that). Following the law and being a duchebag are not mutually exclusive though.

Keep in mind that the Hobey ceremony is the day before the national championship game.

Maybe it's a cold way to look at things, but if your scenario plays out, I say the pickup driver did his/her job because s/he was not involved in the accident. And damn you for making me type out those gender options. Too many extra keys! :wallbash: :P

Yeah, the wife and I started watching Weeds a while ago and I'm with you 100% on that one. It was decent at the start but then it derailed horribly. For some reason we're still slowly chipping away at it, but we're not really paying attention anymore. I get a good laugh from Kevin Nealon occasionally, but otherwise I have no idea what the hell is going on anymore.

I won't quite go to 50/50 but a good amount of blame does go to that pickup driver. He was being a dick and toying with that Camaro. The guy pulled up on his ass so he decided to parallel that truck. The right lane was wide open beyond the truck but he decided to mess with the guy. Don't play games on the road people. It's too easy for things to turn to catastrophe.

They were aware of Rodrigues long before Eichel showed up. It's not like he was aging in East Mooseknuckle Yukon. Pretty much all of D1 hockey is pretty heavily scouted.

Why bother? It's just going to break down soon anyway because it has Marfan.
