  1. If you're looking for information, you're best going off right here. I can't say that I ever bothered looking at a wikipedia citation before, but there's bound to be a ton of old links in there.
  2. Yes, an old, outdated page within the NHL website.
  3. According to Wikipedia, Wikipedia was created while I was in college. I think the internet in general was still the "never cite it" source at that point.
  4. It has to be an old link. Like I said, there is no mentioning of an opt-in in the CBA. And since you mentioned the dates, here is that section of the CBA:
  5. You really don't see all that many huge jumps, but players do tend to increase slightly from year to year. There's definitely no reason to be concerned with his progression though, since his stats were essentially the same both years. Next year should be very telling though. He's at the point where he needs to take over and become a leader on that team. The junior season may as well be the make or break year for a lot of the college kids.
  6. It seems like they may have carried that over from the old rules because there is no mentioning of that at all in the CBA. Here is the cut and paste from the current CBA: I'm a bit confused by what you linked to on the NHL website. How did you get to that link? The only place I even see the words "Hockey Operations" doesn't have an active link.
  7. That has to be something that website took from the CBA prior to the 2005 lockout. There is nothing in the current CBA that requires anyone to declare for the draft.
  8. Where are you getting this from? That's exactly what you tend to see with most guys over their college careers, an upward slope. Fasching's not particularly a concern though as he's only been there two years and that really isn't a dropoff from one to the next.
  9. Old people like to ramble on and on. Just picture Parker as Grampa Simpson and you'll get a more clear picture.
  10. I'm pretty sure that no one has ever worn the number 99 in an NHL game.
  11. Eichel makes the players around him better. There is no better example than his linemate this year, Evan Rodrigues. Take a look at his stats with and without Eichel. 60 points in three years without him, 61 points in the one year with him. There were similar increases from all the top scorers on that team. He took a horrible team with some good young talent and turned it into the highest scoring offense in the nation. That's the Eichel-effect. Now he just needs to do it again. That description of BU feels awfully similar to the Sabres, a horrible team with some good young talent. The only difference is that instead of just spending one year, he gets to bloom along with these players for a long time. Let's hope he's able to do it again.
  12. There's been audio floating around of both coaches talking about Eichel.
  13. I was going to suggest that instead of a number he would just have a picture of himself instead. I guess his hair kind of works for your suggestion though.
  14. I just can't picture Mike doing drugs. He's too bad ass for that. He always needs to be on top of his game before killing a warehouse full of rival cartel members.
  15. Has he actually picked his team for next year yet? A few NCAA teams still think they have a shot at him, but I never really hear much.
  16. A Redlihs brother to be named later.
  17. If there was ever time for a fresh start with a new GM, it's right now. The candidates would be drooling over that job. They'll never figure it out though.
  18. Well, you made a long journey from Milan to Minsk, Rickard Rakell. You never stopped hoping; now you're in the Pinsk, Rickard Rakell. When the naysayers 'nay' you picked up your pace. You said nothing's going to stop me so get out of my face. I'm having adventures all over the place, Rickard Rakell! Sorry, it's all I could think when I heard his name.
  19. I think that description was limited to scripted shows, but then again, things like Utopia and the fake dating crap definitely have a script.
  20. And none of those people have ever been in my kitchen.
  21. I'm really not sure where to post this question, so I'll just go with this thread. The popular idea right now is that Edmonton can move an Eberle or a Hall in exchange for some help on the blue line. It's an obvious idea, but what help is going to be available? When I think through some of the higher tier defensemen, I don't immediately come up with someone I think teams would be anxious to move. And then they also need to find a goalie...
  22. That show was very poorly received last year. I've seen it described as the worst show to ever air on network TV.
  23. By "our boy Jack" do you mean John Buccigross? If I'm reading that right, he is the one on WGR, not Eichel.
  24. Actually it was fixed. They wanted to give it to the last team anyone would ever accuse them of fixing the lottery for. No one will ever question them now.
  25. Lex Luthor is in the movie
