PerreaultForever Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago I'm not surprised by this. It's happened many times before. A complete garbage game, coach yells at them, they win the next one big. I really didn't think they played all that well though. It was a wide open game and they love those always. Zero physicality, no D anywhere and Chicago coming off a demoralizing controversial loss. If you get excited by this you are a fool. Nothing has changed with this team. Starting UPL also tells me this team is not serious about winning this year. They are still showcasing/deciding and they don't have a clue on what they are doing with the goaltending. But hey, lots of goals, win better than a loss. So enjoy it while you can. 1 1 1 Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago The Sabres are still 6 games under real 500 and have the worst winning % in the East at .476 They have to climb over 8 other teams to reach a playoff spot. Yeah we beat the hell out of Chicago. That in no ways makes up for losses to Stl and Calg. This team still stinks. Seriously why do they have to sink so low to get the motivation to play hard? 1 2 Quote

I had a high school football game to call. (Bedford NH made the finals.) What can you say? Maybe the Blackhawks didn't take the Sabres seriously? 🤷♂️ Edited 55 minutes ago by PromoTheRobot 1 Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago At the time of the trade, if someone said Doan would practically replace Pererka's scoring you'd call them delusional. 1 Quote

I’m happy they won, but one game’s worth of effort doesn’t erase the 10 games of little effort that has this team at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings. Until they put forth that kind of effort night in and night out we aren’t going to see real progress. 1 1 1 Quote
Demoted Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago So I guess they "Wanted it more" last night? 4 hours ago, PromoTheRobot said: You guys mad they won? It keeps the current HC GM in play which is bad. I don't fault anyone for not wanting this team to keep up the win 1 and lose 2 meta. Quote

You wouldn't have panicked in 2006, and you should not now. It was a fun game to watch but this win means little unless they actually start stringing them together. 1 Quote

PickaPecaPickles Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago My first game of the season, and it was a lot of fun to watch! I don't know what people are complaining about...... 🤣 Some observations. I thought Quinn had a very good game. I recall only one play where I said "wtf!" I was surprised when Tuch was announced as the first star and to find out he had 4 assists. He had a very "quiet" excellent game. Zucker was much more noticeable, though I also didn't realize he ended the game with 3 points. With him back, the lines are more balanced (Looking forward to getting Benson back, and I sure hope we get to see what Norris does for the team for a long period of time). Our seats were right over the Sabres locker room entrance, and we all thought Byram was done the way he went grimacing in pain. I don't know how long it was, but we were shocked when we noticed him on the ice again. That Doan kid is pretty good. Overall, the Sabres responded well after each Hawks' goal. A solid game. 5 Quote
Scottysabres Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Figures, my first time ever at Disney World and they dominate a team while I was enjoying the last day of food & wine at Epcot. 😂 Quote

Unless several teams ahead of them go on epic losing streaks, a three game win streak won’t mean anything except reaffirm to Terry that Adams is on the right track. The trainers reset it, shot him up with some cortisone and a pain killer, patting him on the ass and sent him on his way. Quote

I posted this about an hour ago but to get to the point percentage of the last playoff spot, they have to win six games in a row. Not five in a row, not five of the next seven... Doing that would still have them out of the playoffs. From right now they have to win six in a row just to get to the 8th and final spot. Quote
rickshaw Posted 38 minutes ago Report Posted 38 minutes ago I fear Lindy is messing up the crease situation badly. Suddenly Lyon is nowhere to be seen. UPL gets lucky the team lit up the opposition. Ellis wasn’t great against Calgary. Now they all have to be unsure of themselves. Need to trade UPL imo. 3 ga only seems fine cuz we got 9. It’s still 3 and that’s not good enough. Quote

He popped it back in himself, finished the ride, was a little sore the next day or two. Never saw a doctor for it. Quote
