Doohickie Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago When Sabres show up? The "This is the way we play" team or the vastly inferior slackers? Let's hope the Real Sabres show up (and the Real Sabres are the good ones!) The season is young but if the Sabres want to show they're in the hunt, they need to play like this is a MUST WIN! 1 Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago Got tix for this one, meeting another couple this eve. I don't see buffalo beating the leaves twice, so tonight is very important to keep the season from getting away too early. Quote
Pimlach Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago This game is on TNT? Hope they can muster up a good 60 minute performance like the Florida game. They need to stack some wins, or else they drop out early. It’s that simple. Quote

bob_sauve28 Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago https://www.nhl.com/sabres/news/how-to-watch-buffalo-sabres-detroit-red-wings-lineup The Buffalo Sabres will be put to the test against one of the league’s hottest early-season teams when the Detroit Red Wings visit KeyBank Center on Wednesday. Detroit sits atop the Atlantic Division at 5-1-0 to begin the season, currently riding a five-game winning streak after dropping its season opener against Montreal. The group has been driven by known commodities (captain Dylan Larkin) and surprising contributors (rookie forward Emmitt Finnie) alike. It will be another opportunity for the Sabres, who bounced back from an 0-3 start with division wins against Ottawa and Florida before losing a competitive game in Montreal on Monday. Zach Benson continued his strong start in the loss to the Canadiens, registering a career-high seven shots while tallying an assist to extend his point streak to three games. He’s one of three players in franchise history to have six assists or more in his first three games of a season, joining Jack Eichel and Thomas Vanek. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. Here’s what you need to know in the meantime. Larkin was named NHL First Star of the Week on Monday after scoring four goals and nine points in Detroit’s last four wins, including a three-point night in the team’s most recent victory against Edmonton on Saturday. Finnie – a seventh-round draft pick in 2023 who played his way onto the NHL roster in training camp – has opened the season playing on Larkin’s wing, tallying five points (2+3) while applying a hard-nosed, two-way game. Detroit has outscored opponents 7-1 with Larkin and Finnie on the ice at 5-on-5 this season. The duo is now joined by last year’s leading scorer in Lucas Raymond, who missed three games with an injury. The Red Wings will be without another key forward in Patrick Kane, who is out for at least the next two games with an upper-body injury. Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago So Lyon again tonight and save Ellis' debut for Friday? Quote
ponokasabre Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago Really need to win this one I hope Greenway is back One of Bryson or Kesserling will be back because of Jones being sent down…..man it would be a big jolt to the team if Kess was healthy Quote
matter2003 Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago These games always seem to be a blowout in one direction or another. Quote

K-9 Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago I may be crazy, but I think I like that 4th line. 1 Quote
ponokasabre Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago Listened to Lindy on WGR and he says Kesserling is skating and should be back soon, before the end of the month. and Greenway basically the same. Says Kesserling should start skating in the game day skates. And its mostly about evaluating after skates as to how they feel and getting there stamina up I hope hope hope at least Greenway is good for the weekend, Kesserling seems a long shot, he seems more likely late next week Quote

They actually should play with a ton of speed and be very physical and thats what we need If Quinn has another poor showing, Greenway will be sliding in and taking that spot no question! He can expect to ride the pine for a few I feel Quote
