Even it was just an administrative label change done for optics, many of us would actually think progress was being made. But, my bet is that Terry doesn’t “trust” Jarmo yet. Terry P is not out of touch. The organization and staffing is structured the way he wants it to be. If he wanted things to be done differently—-it would be done differently. KA is the GM he selected and has retained after more than 5 years of a flawed and failed rebuild. No other owner would have considered KA to be their GM or would have retained their GM with such a paltry record. He’s the owner and is doing what he wants to do, not what others want him to do. Incompetence paired with stubbornness is difficult to overcome. 1 1 1 Quote
That Aud Smell Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Um. Wtf?! Where is our additional top-6 (middle 6?!) forward? Where is the new power play coach? It feels like Sabres ‘25-26 won’t sniff 80 points. 1 Quote

The blue line does look great 1-5. 1 Quote

GASabresIUFAN Posted 49 minutes ago Report Posted 49 minutes ago I congratulate Adams. He has secured another losing season and Byram will take his services to a team that wants to win next off-season when Adams trades him for another RFA or soon to be RFA. "And the seasons they go round and round, And the painted ponies go up and down, We're captive on the carousel of time" 1 1 1 Quote

I was about to say that this does not preclude a trade from happening. Edited 47 minutes ago by PromoTheRobot Quote

Taro T Posted 46 minutes ago Report Posted 46 minutes ago So, they have $7.3MM in cap left with only Timmons and Levi to sign. (Technically adding those 2 puts them at 24 contracts, but realistically there will be injuries all year and they'll have 24 or 25 contracts counting against the cap at any given time for nearly all season.) Get them both in house for $3MM, leave $1MM for contingencies, and then they've got $3.3MM to add a middle 6 F. (Presuming Byram doesn't get traded now that his contract is locked in.) Would like someone better than Rust to add; but him with the Pens retaining 40% might be the best easy thing to do. Make it happen, Kevyn. (Don't trust you to get something more complicated done.) 1 Quote
sabremike Posted 46 minutes ago Report Posted 46 minutes ago Here were your two options: A) Take the late first + B/C level prospect that other teams were offering in a trade. B) Sign him to a short term deal. Think it's obvious which option was the correct choice. 2 Quote
Thorny Posted 46 minutes ago Report Posted 46 minutes ago No team is trading for him now. There’s no trade coming He’s walked to UFA 1 1 Quote

This was the off-season to fix goaltending and defense. Instead he damaged the offense, the only good part of the team, left the crappy goaltending intact and add two 3rd line RHD. 1 2 Quote

We picked the one that ensured we’d be 5 mil+ short of the cap some will argue it’s a coincidence and not the driver lol 1 minute ago, GASabresIUFAN said: Livid. Flashsabre Posted 42 minutes ago Report Posted 42 minutes ago It’s been obvious from Day 1 that Adams isn’t qualified enough to have a master plan that he can execute and make this team successful. Every move he makes is reactionary. He constantly puts himself in these positions. A betting man isn’t betting on the Sabres to make the playoffs next season. The Adams era has been a complete failure. Quote
