I totally agree. I think Jack’s representatives overplayed their hand. The Sabres losing out on Jack Eichel in 4 years should be inconsequential. I think he should prepare to give his all to the Sabres or prepare to sit until the return is acceptable. And I think KA and the Sabres and us fans shouldn’t settle for less.

Would that imply not taking a deal now?

I guess my question is as you lower the asking price, how important is the return in KA’s plan? And does it get to the point where there’s not much difference in trading an injured Jack Eichel without a nmc vs a healthy Jack Eichel with a nmc.

Cool, cool…I’m glad there wasn’t an agenda…most threads started about him since he was hired seem to have one. I wish I was as plugged in as most posters here, but I think Adams is a bit refreshing.

I didn’t like this thread when it came out (no offence Zamboni, if it wasn’t you, someone was going to do it). We’re all so pissed off that we’re looking to burn everyone as soon as they do something wrong. I really think we have to give Adams more time. It may not be what an “experienced” gm would do, but it may be what the Sabres need to do because of the 9 years prior to Adams.

I really don’t want them to sell the team. I would like to see them recommit to creating a winner. They came in with guns blazing and we were all so excited. Terry and Kim have definitely made some bad decisions. If they would come out and say “hey, we really f-ed up, but we’re ready to take a new approach, and we’re as passionately committed to winning as ever”, I’d be really stoked. Blaze away, but that’s the best path for me.

I think it’s risky picking your star player as captain. He better be captain material. If you’re just picking him because he’s your best player, you’re going to have a problem.

I’m willing to accept this as a possible answer, but I am going to look for some consensus first

So I follow my sports on an app called the score. As I’m checking out the box scores of playoff games it appears as if they are adding the playoff stats to the regular season stats. (I.e. Hall now has 11 goals 🤮 I thought you start back at zero for the playoffs? (let me know if this is too early in the off-season for this kind of frivolous complaining)
