They're taking this no more no blocking the kids anymore seriously as even the 2 huge Russians might be fighting for playing time in Ra-cha-cha. 😉 Karmanos is in the running for AHL GM of the year by now, right? dudacek Posted yesterday at 03:24 AM Report Posted yesterday at 03:24 AM (edited) Jones, Metsa, Rathbone, Timmins, Docker, Brannstrom, Poolman, Clague, Bryson, Davies, Prow, Cecconi, Bartkowski, Priskie, Stillman, Davidson, Clifton, Hagg, Pysyk, Butcher, Wolanin, Lyubushkin, Fogarty and the immortal Matt Irwin. 24 of them! In 5 years! And most of them actually played for the Sabres! I mean maybe it’s unfair to include Clifton and Lyubushkin, but none of these guys advanced to the 2nd pair and all of them were healthy scratches, if their NHL careers continued at all after Buffalo. Finding an NHL defenceman on the border of an NHL career and ending it seems to be Kevyn’s signature move. Edited yesterday at 03:26 AM by dudacek 1 1 Quote

It’s like he legitimately believes people will mistake quantity for quality when it comes to thoroughness in addressing the roster This is just busy work 1 1 1 Quote

dudacek Posted yesterday at 03:33 AM Report Posted yesterday at 03:33 AM (edited) In terms of the depth chart, it now sits at Dahlin Byram Power Kesselring Samuelson Timmins Bryson Jones Clague Johnson Rathbone Novikov Komarov Beliveau (Metsa) Edit: scratch Clague. Thought he was still under contract, but he signed a deal with the Jets. So basically, Jones is replacing him. Also not sure if Metsa got an AHL deal or an NHL deal. You forget Rathbone, who played 28 games with Van, the immortal Brandon Davidson and Casey Fitzgerald. 1 Quote

It's beyond ridiculous this year. I'm starting to wonder if the conversation between Terry and Kevyn was: "So Terry, Dahlin says he wants out if we don't get it together and start building a winner". "Oh does he? Well screw him, let's tank and start over with McKenna. We can get it right this time." Quote
Justin C Posted yesterday at 11:19 AM Report Posted yesterday at 11:19 AM I bet Rangers fans found him untouchable in the Eichel trade talks. Quote

Clague was their best offensive defenseman in the playoffs last season and they'll need someone to be that player in Rochester. Quote

Yup, Karmanos is doing fine. The AHL vets shuffle teams from year-to-year. There's plenty to be upset about with this franchise, a tweener D-man with NHL experience to go to help Rochester is not the issue. At the conclusion of the playoffs last year, Rochester had the first lineup and everyone was healthy. With Johnson moving up to NHL 7/8 -- someone need to battle Bryson to get sent down. Jones is fine for that. R.Johnson - Rathbone Novikov - Metsa Clague - Komarov (Brännström, Prow, Laaouan) 2025-26 season: Novikov - Metsa Jones/Bryson - Rathbone Laaouan - Komarov 1 Quote
