Florida wins the Cup unless Carolina gets Ehlers, but that still may not be enough. Detroit will take the 8 spot with the Rangers jumping back in the top 8. Buffalo will finish 14,15 or 16 in the East. Dahlin and Tuch are gone end of next year and the teardown begins again.

I Reallyyyy hate this organization and everyone in it.

Perpetual rebuild. We’re so *****. I’ve loved this team and hockey and they have sucked the life out of the love of the sport.

if I were the gm right now I’d pull the bandaid and trade dahlin tuch and just tank again. They’re gone anyways.

I have come to the firm belief this wrong. Terry is in fact the actual GM. Adams is merely his puppet who handles the paperwork, makes the calls, does whatever he's told. Terry pulls all the strings and that is why he didn't fire Adams. Good puppets are hard to find.

Do not doubt this at all, but I think Terry at least allows Ruff to weigh in on strategy and decisions.  Behind both of them is Adams doing whatever they want to keep himself clean.  Agree that Terry loves having a guy out in front taking arrows who doesn't mind so long as he keeps his job.

Everybody else gets shiny, new Ferrari’s and we’re stuck with a Gremlin, Chevette and a few Civics!

The civics will run for over 300,000 miles.

Hey Adams nobody cares about Rochester and Mason isn’t that good even in the AHL! Seen plenty of him in Henderson. Who is scouting these players? He’s not even that good.

I care about Rochester 😢

So who is left that we care about? Ehlers, suter?

Trade market or bust now?

As is, this team is not ready going into offseason

With the contract K'Andre Miller got I don't think we can afford Byram. I hope we can trade him for something we can use (see top 6 forward) in 2025-2026 and beyond.

In terms of FA aren’t those 2 the only FWD we cared about anyways - never woukd have wanted then giving granlund 7 mil with term.

they always needed to make a trade if it wasn’t ehlers / will they is the real ?

K’Andre cashing in with the Canes

That’s a lot for KAM but if there’s one team that I would trust in identifying under-developed defensemen and getting the most out of them, it’s Carolina.

I don’t love the fit for them looking at the player he was in NY but I feel like every D that goes to Carolina finds the next level in their game. I’d bet they’re hoping he clicks with Slavin who can mitigate any mistakes.

Now they just have to find an entire second line. Not sure where that 2C comes from unless they’re just going to continue trying to roll Kotkaniemi out there.

Wait… wait.. wait… have the Sabres gotten me this deep into a hockey depression that I didn’t know Stamkos was on Nashville? What did I miss?

Nashville spent like drunken sailors during FA last year then missed the playoffs. So uhh; exsctly why huge FA signings aren’t a guarantee

This is likely coming anyway. Best case scenario they have a horrible start to the season and realize this has to happen. They likely get it wrong again but this path is not viable. They will never win like this.

I'm already looking around to see who might be fun to watch this year. I like hockey too much to give up on it because of the Sabres. I'm just going to watch other teams that might provide entertainment.
