They had 8 D under contract as well,  it was a logical clear and puts them about 2million under the cap now. They may try to keep him if his salary is around 10mil but I think if he wants closer to Rantanen's 12million they could move him. 

This could also open up enough space for them to do something like move Robertson for players that make more than his 7.75 salary as they would be able to move him and add back 9.5mil in cap roughly.

Doesn’t matter as KA is too stupid to be on conversations for him. He only cares about 4th line forwards, 3rd line defenseman and backup goalies. Prove me wrong

95% of their “insider info” comes from player agents that want to get a message out for their player.

He set the record for games played without a playoff appearance. Now, he's got to start a new streak. Can't be doing that on a team with McDavid and Draisaitl.

As a one year fill if he was moving Byram out. Dumba would be overpaid but he's better than our bottom pair and veterans on the roster is what is always lacking on this team. 

The thing about that trade is they are giving you something to take him. That's a win for a season. Only thing it costs you is money and that doesn't affect us now does it.

I loved the old model, big crowd, families, watching the power brokers all in one room.

Sure it could have been tweaked into a better broadcast, but the format was unique to hockey and something I looked forward to.

A lesser carbon copy of the NFL draft sucks.
