Part of this is the lack of on ice personnel, but part of it is also the failure of coaching to get the players to stick to the basics in defending and shooting the puck. Picked off TNT's shot attempt, then turned it into a rush, which kept the top line out forever and it ended up in the Sabres net. Garbage game. But this won’t be fixed at the deadline. Hopefully he can make good decisions this summer. I worry he is just thinking that they will grow into defense.
