So, is this a promotion/attaboy for Hauser as he was on an AHL deal before?

Seems strange the timing of it.

Are you putting a bunch of spaces under everything you post??  This is the third post from you where there's a bunch of blank space below your post.

As to the thread.  What is the ***** does this mean??

No.  As have stated a few times this past week, since the tablet installed an upgrade last weekend, it has been wonky.  Usually catch it before posting, but not always.

Sorry about it.  Realize all that extra whitespace is annoying.

It makes your posts extra dramatic because I scroll down expecting something more 😄

Organizational depth for the Buffalo-Rochester level because one of the Sabres current goalies may be on the move without one coming back. Making a move now in anticipation of signing one (or both) of Levi/Portillo...so someone on the current roster goes out...houser comes in. Or, MAYBE one of the current goalies is nursing an injury we don't know about yet.  I HIGHLY doubt either of those are it, but that is all I have on this one.

I gotta believe that they don't do this unless *two* goalies are outbound.

Checking organizational depth, Cyclones have two goalies (Sinclair, Warm); Rochester has two (Subban, Houser) and there are three in Buffalo.  If a goalie is outbound on a trade without one coming back, that would put the organization at 2 goalies for each team (normal, I would think).  If they plan on Houser having to play for the Sabres it means that TWO of their roster goalies are outbound.  If I had to guess it's Anderson and Comrie, since Luukkonen seems to be getting the most starts.  Maybe it's part of a three-way trade or something.  Or maybe the Sabres are getting a non-NHL prospect in return (i.e., not ready for NHL level).

If they are replacing two of the Sabres current goalies with Houser it feels like it would be a big trade where goalie is not the focus... or maybe Portillo said he would sign if there was truly a spot for him at the NHL level, and moving Houser up after moving two of the three roster goalies out would be necessary as a stopgap until Portillo gets here.

I dunno... just spitballing here.

Could be as simple as they got word that some other NHL team was thinking of making him an offer. (Not positive, but pretty sure that AHL deals get supplanted when a player gets an NHL offer.)

That makes the most sense of anything.
