@Pimlach I do understand your POV.

Yes, I’m patient with Quinn.  He has talent and skill, just needs experience and more upper body strength.

He will get there. Two rookies on a line with a 21 year old center is quite unusual but it works at times.

Zegras is a punk. And he is gonna disrespect the wrong vet at the wrong time and get his ass handed to him.

I’ll never understand why some supremely talented players are such A holes.

VO has to get an honorable mention.

It wasn't that long ago that some were categorizing VO as a PP specialist. This season the overwhelming majority of his goals have been at equal strength. Ever since Jost joined the Mitts/Olof line it has been a consequential two-way line for the Sabres. What's encouraging is that the scoring has been spread out amongst all the lines.

Krebs is getting better and better. Since he was sat down for some games he came back invigorated and is playing with great confidence.

UPL is solidifying his position as our #1 goalie.

Stating the obvious that Lyubuskin played well.

Anaheim missed a lot of shots, including a number of juicy tip-ins on the door step.

The last two games the Sabres won in front of large crowds. The fans are returning and getting into it.

-Boosh’s best game as a Sabre

-good on Donny putting Tage on the 4th line for a spell. Accountability

-VO And Mitts being hot goes a long way to a run

-anybody want to argue UPL isn’t the number 1 right now

-love Krebsie’s spirit

-on the NHL Network feed Weeksie had Chychrun,P Kane, Klingberg and someone else as Sabres trade targets but admitted Kane was more just the hometown kid coming home feel good story rather then a serious target.

-I think Zegras is a great young offensive player but I take Cozens 10 times out of 10 in a redraft.

Looby was good.

I think Tage was put there in the last 10 minutes to shake things up and shorten the bench

Don’t really want Chychrun or Klingberg but either makes us better.

28-72-21 again.   Tage on checking line.

Wonder what's wrong with Tage. I saw him knocked to the ice at least three - four times today. Is it they just have tightened up on him or maybe he's playing hurt? I know, he started off the year slowly so maybe he's just streaky. But I'm kind of worried about him.

The Lyubuskin and Jost pickups were good pickups that cost this team no assets. Good GM work.

I've got socks that are older than Tage Thompson.

John I would like to see both offensive and defensive zone fancy stats on 37-17-71 over the recent months.  Going into the game Mitts was -14, VO -10, and Jost -7.

They create and score, they also give up goals.

Sometimes the stats are revealing and sometimes they are also deceiving. A lot has to do with the pairings they are working with. What I can say for sure is that this particular line has been playing well since Jost was added to the line. I would like to see the stats for this assemblage.

I generally don't like to dump on goalies but there was some shoddy goaltending in this one (both sides).

Ducks are in the tank. Fully immersed.

I found myself wondering today could Cozens be our Bergeron and Krebs be our Marchand? Cozens really seems to be coming into his own and is only being held back by being saddled with the rookies. Quinn shouldn't be in the NHL. He's just not ready. But Cozens has got it all and that drive and focus with 2 way ability is making me think Bergeron.

Some will say Krebs isn't a dirty Marchand type rat, but watch closely, it's coming. Kid likes to get in close, toss an elbow, a slash, a little butt end, scraps and yaps. Sure, he hasn't licked anyone (yet) but I can see the Marchand in him developing. Eichel trade looking even better. We need that.

Lybushkyn was good today. Solid play as others have said.

Tage is bothering me though. He just seems to be floating at times. Lacking desire? Just not into it? Head elsewhere? idk. Might be nothing. See how it goes.

This game was more like it should have been against Chicago. With good goaltending this game is 6-1 or a shutout.

I'm really hoping Quinn/Peterka can get it going again and we can see all 4 lines rolling as we claw our way into the playoffs.

Quinn could really benefit from being the guy who plays with Okposo and Girgs. It’s like being sent to a specialist. They always bring out the best in players
