GASabresIUFAN
Did we claim Axel Foley? So what do we expect from Axel Foley? Please also correct the spelling in the thread title. GASabresIUFAN
Also if we claimed a guy like this what does that tell us about the JAGs that are already here?
dudacek
So this has no effect on future waiver claims right? Like we're not all of a sudden last in line now if, say, Alex Nedjelkovic comes available on waivers?

Like we're not all of a sudden last in line now if, say, Alex Nedjelkovic comes available on waivers? I don't think waivers works like that in a pro sports (unlike fantasy sports). We are the worst team in the NHL and we stay No.1 for waivers until the season begins I believe. I was looking at the recent waivers. Former Sabres abound. Guhle, O'Regan, Griffith, Dea, and Flynn all waived. The Bruins also waiver 2015 1st rd bust Zach Senyshyn 6 minutes ago, Doohickie said: So you're saying there's hope for the Sabres? 2
GASabresIUFAN
from the Hockey Writers https://thehockeywriters.com/nhl-waiver-rules/ Quote If Multiple Teams Submit Claims Who Gets the Player? If a player is placed on waivers prior to Nov. 1, the waiver order is determined by the reverse standings order from the previous season. This means the team in last place gets the first chance to place a claim on a player. If the player is placed on waivers after Nov. 1, then the claim order goes by the current season’s standings.
Marvin
The first thing that went through my head, "I bet he makes $750,000." It has become a cliché.

A precedent for waiving a 2015 1st rounder..... Seriously, what would happen to Jack's salary if we waived him and another team picked him up? It might not be as bad an idea as it seems. I keep thinking of scenarios and a lot of them have Jack not being near the player he has been before injuries got him. If we waived him and another team picked him up does his cap hit go away? Not too worried about it right now, but maybe in a year or something if it's still all SNAFUed...
