Billznut
Finishing dead last AFTER Kane, Eichel and O'Reilly came back from injuries (when at one point they were within 4 points of a playoff spot)....................... does this mean the injury narrative isn't going to work? Or are they still going to try and ride it as long as it will last?Exactly. Been sick of hearing the injury excuse all year. It had NO impact on the final result. The season and playoffs were there for the taking after their bye week. This team failed to show up the final two months. Plain and simple. I used to love Tim Murray, now I'm skeptical. I want wholesale changes on this team, head coach and at least a third of the lineup changed. Otherwise nothing will be different next year. Count on that. If the team is this bad because Eichel missed 20 games, and a couple of other top 6 guys missed 10-15 then there are much bigger problems to deal with. This team will never be a contender if they can't even get within 17 points of a playoff spot because of some injuries. Every team gets hurt, nobody in the organization should be using is as an excuse.

Randall Flagg
I legitimately thought they won based on the reactions in here until I looked at nhl.com just now. Nice

Wyldnwoody44
Just ate 4 famous chili half smokes after the caps were shut out.... Even for a shutout it was still a fun game
SwampD
Just got back from watching the game on delay at a friend's house. All I can really say about it is, man, he served a great home made pulled pork and coleslaw sandwich. I'm going to be thinking about that sandwich for way longer than I am this season. TrueBlueGED
Fitting end to the season. Fire everyone. If Bylsma is back, you may get your wish....about 25 games too late, but still. Would you rather they both come back and potentially get fired together next season, or have Bylsma fired now and Murray get a year or two with a new coach? Huckleberry
You "overseas" fans are the best. Truly. The dedication is remarkable. I hope you can visit for a game someday. Ever been to the U.S.? Florida when I was 8 :p I legitimately thought they won based on the reactions in here until I looked at nhl.com just now. Nice Some of us went into mini tank mode last two games, gained us 5 spots in the draft by losing these two.

TrueBlueGED
Apparently Eichel lost a $2 million bonus because he got bounced from the top 10 in points per game yesterday. Draisaitl got 2, which moved him ahead of Eichel. Eichel closed out the year with 1G and 1A in 6 games. Quitting on his coach was costly, in a very literal sense. He mentioned those last games in the presser. There's no denying the look he gave that he wasn't happy with himself.
