Still, they always throw a couple spots to a "higher profile" local kid, so that's about all there is to see here. When I first saw his kid was on one of the teams, I had a "you gotta be Shtn me" moment. But at least you can argue merit. Generally, they've always invited a few local kids IIRC. Ristoleinen has some real man size to him in the upper body, not skinny like Myers. And Girgensons, who looked good in Rochester, still looks mean. You would go back and not pick one of the best players in the draft because he can't play in Rochester the first year?
