Since January 16th when his request for a trade (or play more) was made, Beaulieu has played only 1 game. Everyone else on the team has played more, including CJ Smith and Matt Hunwick. Given the school district freaking out about nothing, all activities were canceled tonight. Sooooo I guess I will be around to watch the game.

The sound mix on TV has, as per usual with MSG, been awful. During the Jets game I was subjected to some knucklehead in the crowd yelling Let's Go Jets! so loud I was having trouble hearing the play by play. They had the mix really screwed up the other night when Dunleavy was calling the game too. I don't listen to WGR specifically, but on the Rochester broadcast on 96.5. I have noticed that they have altered the play-by-play audio to sound more AM, almost like they put that into mono. It used to get lost in the ice microphones they were mixing from TV. Now it sounds very crisp against the much fainter ice microphones.

Of course you have to think that there is a considerable number of teams that would be knocking on Panthers door for Huberdeau. Could be a bidding war... That said... I think he fits. I'm not 100% sold on him, but I know he's a roster upgrade.

I agree. I think people of all countries, by and large, are not for war. Even in the countries you mentioned I don't think it's a vast majority of their societies that feel that way. Generally people want to just live their lives. My problem is that while people don't want the war the egos of politicians might just screw us over anyway, regardless of what the people want. I just hope it doesn't happen.

Right. The thing is that is usually talked about as the deterrent to using the weapons. Unfortunately the egos and hatred between people only seems to be growing. Growing to a point where it's not important that someone wins only that their opponent loses even if it means everyone loses.

Isn't that just the bitch of war? We put our work into creating devices that destroy rather than devices that could change the world. I'm not sure why we have to hate each other on this planet, but it's certainly our biggest flaw as a species. Any war on this planet that resorts to nuclear weapons at this point will be the end of us. And I think any war of significant size will see someone pull the trigger on using them just so they can "not lose". There are no winners. Sigh.

I can drive for good sushi. I'm not sure Rochester has too many places. I was okay with Shiki and Next Door. I'm glad you have a good place. Realistically I am much more a sashimi guy but I would think if they make good sushi that the sashimi would be good too.

Did she "dye" it red or did she "paint" it red? There's being a red head and then there's looking like someone threw paint on your head. Either is acceptable in my book. I joke with my kids that I am going to paint my hair red. Although I am getting enough gray that I might actually be able to dye it.

He's been an invisible part of the organization since he said he wants to play more, whether that is in Buffalo or somewhere else. I would think they are trying to move him. Could be they have a few offers but are looking for more. Perhaps waiting for a team to suffer an injury on D that makes that team more desperate to backfill that injury. He has 12, but how many in the last 50% of the season? I think that's the problem. I still think someone would trade for him. It's possible Pominville might even accept it just for another shot at the playoffs. He can still retire a Sabre too. That said, he might have told management that he doesn't want to be moved and I think they would honor that request as well.

There's a good sushi place around? I'd love to know more about that! Breaded wings? They are a thing. You can get them in Rochester at some places. Chester Cab Pizza has them as their flagship. I'm not a fan. Breaded, fried chicken needs substance like a leg, breast, or thigh...

Mendon Wok... I feel the quality had slipped a bit the last few times we had ordered from there. Still decent, but not as good as it had been. I do really like the family that runs it though (or did). We don't order it much anymore. Then again, we don't order out much at all. Also, DirecTV can eat it. Sorry for your pain.

Let's say I am looking at Player X. I have hundreds of hours of footage of that player. That player has been playing with Players Y and Z and those players are a certain type of player that are not who I intend to pair Player X up with when I bring them into the organization. So, I float that I am interested in seeing how a player plays with a different level caliber player, etc. The team interested in moving Player X makes a change and now I have fresh footage of a player I am interested in acquiring. The point here is that hundreds of hours of footage are what get you interested in the player. However, it's how they are playing at this moment, in the types of situations you intend to use them, that might make or break the trade. I'm not saying that's what happening, just merely making an example of why it has importance.
