Missing this one... or not. Either way, I won't see the game. Go Sabres. Give these guys on the forum a boost in their feelings.
-
This time of year has to come with all kinds of speculation. Is it just throwing stuff at the wall, is it trying to mix things up (Eichel/Skinner have not been producing as of late) or is it showcasing? See a player with a better center/winger talen to see what they do. We'll see what happens!
-
Laine must be on the same production cycle as the Sabres.

I'm fairly perplexed at this comment. Are you referring to allowing mother's to abort a child up until three years old or for three year olds to get abortions (which of course would be some kind of medical anomaly the likes which has never been seen). You might be overstating it a little bit, ya think?
-
You might like this... just released it. I'm halfway through. I'm a huge fan of these two and this does not disappoint for me.
-
Hoping for a win tonight. Not sure if I will watch it.
-
Do you mean worst Sabres GM ever? Because I mean.. Chiarelli.
-
I'd insert a Blade meme here, but it would violate language filtering. So I'll just quote it. "Some mother******* are always trying to ice skate uphill." ? I agree with you, even if the rock will still roll back down the hill when you are done Sisyphus.

If tanev had hit on either of his first two tosses the parents would be feeling a lot differently about it.

I love this post. Normally you've across just so negative, but this really demonstrates why and shows the vulnerability of the Sabres fan in a perfect way. Honestly, truly, love it. This also makes it better by the way. And this makes it even better... So Let's Go Buffalo!

It is... my employer has shut down offices before. I have worked in plenty of the places that don't care too.

That was your 16k post I think. The Sabres have not won a Cup since you started posting. You should probably stop. ?
-
I'm in favor of the GDT standardization. The mysticism over changing it up, who starts it, etc. is all garbage. The Sabres have never won the Stanley Cup so every format taken to date has tried and failed. Pretty sure it's time to just say, it has no impact and make it easier to find and read.

Weeks like this are when I am glad I work from home. School will be cancelled... there's no doubt. My biggest concern will be how the dogs handle it. It'll be too cold for them to be out more than a minute or two to do their business and they'll hate even doing that.

Why? Because wouldn't this forum be better if we were focused on having a discussion with the intent of being more educated as opposed to playing the equivalent of the 5 year old "I know you are but what am I" game? For the record, I said nothing of building relationships in my post. https://www.icehockeysystems.com/blog/1/1-3-1-power-play-5-options Basically, 1 player around the goal crease, 3 player across the mid-ice with two shooters on their off-hands on each wall and a player at the top of the zone on the blue line. The link above will show different methods of employing it.

The Leafs will have 27 contracts next year. 13 players on the roster and roughly $60M already on the books. Their big names are Matthews and Marner. If the cap goes to $85M (a $6M jump). The Leafs can sign both, let's say $11M for Matthews (despite Pi's $12M assertion) and $8M for Marner. That leaves $6M on the table to get another 5 skaters on the books just for the NHL team. What's Kapanen going to get? The Leafs will have to get creative and they will be thin on defense still. Reilly, Zaitsev, and Muzzin will be their top D. It's a good trade for Toronto who needs to do all they can to win this year. They're going up against the Lightning. That said.. they may have put themselves in a tight spot for next year. They'll likely make the signings and play thin and then be back stronger the following year when a few more salaries come off the books. Question is... who do they have coming up?

He probably learned it from here. Yes, some teams actually do run a power play from behind the net. https://thecoachessite.com/2018/05/20/behind-net-powerplay-formation-driven-analytics/ https://www.coppernblue.com/2011/9/29/2435373/behind-the-net-power-play-tactics-with-coach-bob-nielsen https://www.vancourier.com/pass-it-to-bulis/canucks-have-already-used-similar-tactics-to-switzerland-s-world-junior-power-play-1.23564814 So, for what it's worth. You are wrong. Simply and decisively. If you put more energy into searching than asserting you'll also find references to the Gretzky led Oilers running PPs time from behind the net/below the goal line. The 1-3-1 is flavor of the month. Like any system, it can be effective. At the same time, given that so many teams are running with the 1-3-1 it also makes it easier for defenders to defend. They see it night in and night out. That's the point of changing it up. Your tone with people on here is ridiculous. The point of a forum is engage in discussion and the very way you phrase things work in opposition to having a discussion. You already admitted you are aware of it. Perhaps you might want to put some of the energy to use on improving your communication skills.

Good lord that things looks insane. I knew about chimney regulations in regards to height, etc. Just never heard of a high-wind cap. Honestly I have no idea what is on my chimney. I never paid attention to it. I guess I will have to get out and look at it. I need it inspected anyway.
-
I have never even considered this. Is there a regulation regarding this? I don't even know what is on my chimney. We don't use it much, but it would be good to know.
-
I would agree that's where it belongs. However, that conversation would be deleted there too. ?

Nice... I bought a PS4 late last year... now I have Xbox/PS4/PC. I basically never use the Xbox anymore (it's for the kids). Still only play NHL or Call of Duty.. I have RDR2 but I can't find interest in playing it. Probably because I play too much Destiny 2 on PC.

I'm estimating we're at a foot of snow now. When I go outside to clear it I will know more. No rush. I'm warm inside, nowhere I need to go. All kids activities canceled.

I always found it interesting that this is an actual thing. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3001541/

No. There is a remarkable difference in how we end up with those things. The assumption was not based just on race. Once and for all, and I would ask that everyone get it right, I said. It seems that being a white corporate executive somehow raises the probability of engaging in sexual harassment. I did not say being white, I did not say black corporate executive, I did not say white DMV workers., I spoke of a group that was characterized by more than their race. I didn't even say that all of them do it. I even stated that it probably is not a race factor and that race is a byproduct of the situation (that most corporate executives are white, older men) Your referenced examples are a bit more extreme, do you not think? My "toxic whiteness"? I'll go ahead and say this, that kind of commentary is completely uncalled for by anyone on this forum, let alone someone who is supposed to police good behavior. Also, at no point did I say it's okay to slur whites, and only whites. Why is it that you insist on this narrative? It's simply untrue, there's no evidence of it. The fact that you chose those words to misstate what has been said is out of line. You clearly are not listening or do not understand what is being said but most assuredly I have no said what you claim. I'm sure it's best this whole conversation ends because it seems that people either want to draw inappropriate parallels or completely mischaracterize what is being said and on top of that throw around insults.
