BS on the 2nd half of your post. You have to fill holes and create depth just to get to the point of contender. We are at the point where a few FAs are going to be highly beneficial to the kids we are developing.

Whatever it says about you it probably says about me. I am still interested in what they do and how the team is being built, but I’ve watched so little hockey over the last 7 years that I probably don’t fit the classic definition of a fan.

Let’s not sugar coat it. India, Pakistan, etc were brought i to the family through forceful taking and only let go back home because mom and dad were left powerless to prevent it after WWII.

I suspect in actual practice the rankings and relative values of the players actually on the draft boards are taken into account and its not just output from an aggregate model.
