Should Jbot Try To Add to This Roster Before Next Season?
North Buffalo replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
The WZKBW is suggesting Orpik, but I am not sure we want another Josh Gorges type... to slow. Orpik has a mean streak and plays positionally well... but I think the game has passed him by unless he wants to coach. I agree with Scotty, it needs to come from within. -
Playoff Drought ULTIMATE JAG WARRIOR: Sutton Division
North Buffalo replied to Eleven's topic in The Aud Club
Im in wow Pulliot that high... in his prime he was more than a JAG but now off the cliff. -
Imo the pay for site was not a good idea and not well thought out. The writers were not good enough and the way the product was being presented wouldnt work. I get they sort have tried to immitate ESPN premium, but there is too much duplication from Rochester, Syracuse, the Bills own website and other NFL media along with twitter on other online free media to be effective. Part of the reason ESPN is failing as well. Not sure the answer or how to drive enough advertising dollars to themselves to keep it free. But is clear the pay for model is a tough one to implement.

What no mention of our Lord and Savior... Lightening bolts will fire out of his ass and make the Rat succumb to a tomb in the Big Dig!

Have to agree, the flip side is analytical ability is now at a premium. The ability to digest what you have looked up figure out its applicability and strengths and flaws and make adjustments. Modeling is also a very important skill set as it related to ability to analyze.

I actually like those even if they left out a few things and ran a few two many things.

Ps Just bought a pair of skates from a young man in West Springfield that told me Jack broke his jaw in juniors with one punch. Said Jack was a beast even back then.

While we differ somewhat on pro-life... the rest I agree with... though I would add the extreme left is just as bigoted in their own way. The extremes of both parties, I learned in back in my political science days tend to meet on the other side of the circle. It is not a continuum. The hard part is finding folks that stand for those principals mostly with some compromise to practically get there incrementally. It is not going to happen overnight. Working now in another field, the medical field and seeing first hand how the poor and even the working class are stuck in their rat cage is eye opening. Many do not even see that they are truly stuck or have a clue with a little help to get out of their prison... and they trust so little it is hard. Often all the medical folks do is put band aids on with little hope for a cure and don't get me started on the drug companies. -
Those Dirty, Rotten Taxes

I am a Keynesian economic theorist. Helping out by providing assistance and incentives when needed, but only short term, so workfare is great and even short term tax break to corporations when there is a socioeconomic benefit. However, too many of these programs, both on the welfare side and the corporate welfare side end up being long term... far past their need. Corporate tax breaks, farm subsidies for large farms are classics examples of incentive programs that over time end up just being giveaways that no longer provide society with a benefit because the companies have reached a point of profit where they would be taking the same actions without those incentives.... hence these programs have become corporate welfare. These programs were not bad bargains to begin with, many of them. They provided incentives to get started... ethanol... solar and oil. But now those programs have their own entrenched constituencies that have greased the proper wheels and are hard to get rid of politically. -

Not sure I should reply to you topic, might be the worst idea I ever had. I am a Clinton loving, despite the zipper problem, DLC loving centrist, a la Sam Nunn... but I am also pro-Union. I want to see balanced budgets, reigned in defense spending and an end to free wheeling money wasting contractors used by the Feds. That being said, I am tired of Nancy Pelosi and the lack of leadership in the Democratic Party and the focus on victim politics. Too much money currently is held in the hands of the few and it needs to be spread out, preferably through Tax incentives to the middle class if that is even an economic group anymore. Small businesses need to be supported more and not through NFIB because they do not support small businesses anymore, if they ever did. I am tired of the Religious Right as well. I am looking for centrists in both parties that I can support with level heads and convictions to lead. So maybe SDS, we can find something in the middle that can work... though in today's climate, I doubt it. -
Thank you two for the history linguistic lesson. It has been very interesting! Wow!

Left versus right is ruining democracy

Because, though it does all the above things except tribalism. I actually think it decreases tribalism, though it still exists within each party. Multi parties would just separate out the tribalism. Part of the reason for the adversarial relationship is the result of the two parties being so close in popularity. When one party dominates, it can build consensus without as much threat from the other party and allow for reaching out to the other side without a threat of losing overall control. Multiparties don't solve your problem however and in many cases exacerbates these issues. Part of the problem right now is technology and the speed at which information is sent out without proper vetting from more sources then ever before. Backroom politics use to provide for compromise.... the backrooms have been exposed and are continuously being exposed by technology and the speed of information for good reasons too... but the loss of them has caused a lot of cover to be blown off the ability to make compromises. This has nothing to do with a two or multi party system though imo. -
Comey is not stupid nor incompetent. He however, in my opinion, is a bureaucratic political insider, and was trying to become a kingpin, a la Herbert Hoover. I don't believe half the stuff he shovels. He went after Obama's folks and then tried the same tactics against Trump, all the while stating he wasn't doing anything. He released those HRC documents right before the election. Comey only cares about Comey and Trump was smart to fire him, even if it made him look bad regarding the Russian investigation. You guys are confusing facts with political power struggles. I am still not sure we have heard the entire accurate story of what happened from either Trump or Comey and probably never will.

Yes, P.S. it is YellowLinesandArmadillos

If not no big deal... I have long forgotten the password and think I may have changed the user name on it to something else possibly North Buffalo1, not sure. Yes... trying to downplay the politics stuff unless it is on structure... I no longer am a partisan hack and don't have to be... so the new user name is appropriate.

P.S. the drunks are flowing into the ER tonight... lots of head CT coming up... from folks hitting the pavement... Sorry on TBD I am now North Buffalo as well. If yellowlines can be merged great...

On TBD, I have yellowlinesandarmadillos that was not merged. Now I am the same on both, but if you could, but it may be defunct and that is fine if not...
