Despite Pi’s statement about a team coming together and generally I agree, practice helps gell a team... as others have said, this is a young team and I dont think you want to drill the fun out of a team... dont have a problem necessarily with a day off though the timing is a little off. Part of it is the late cuts imo wanting only those who will be on the big club and the guys have been worked hard since the start of camp. Could be Housley read the tea leaves and realized they needed a break. We will see how they start out....

Pi is pain in how wed he is to his convictions... but he’s Pi so you take his absolutism like you would a football coach.... every once in a while he needs to be told to f off... His hockey sense is usually spot on.

Recovering from two knee bruise/sprains... lower patella tendons only hurts at one point... problem is just as my knee bend is at the point of pushing of in first two strides. My OR nurse wife told me to lay off just as I accelerating my workouts and as fall hockey has begun plus I am playing more D lately... Not happy.. first time my knees have ever bothered me... waah?

Not sure where you are at but Bershire East is a smaller quaint but good sized hill in Northen Mass that is reasonable and in its own little snow belt just south of the Vermont border, about 20 miles East of Williamstown MA. I ski Jimney Peak a lot and will probably go to Hunter this year. Want to try out Strattford... only 90 miles from my House in Amherst MA if snow is good. Last year snow came in late. Over xmas we skied Sundance in Utah, Steamboat and El Doro. All very different and very nice, though Steamboat is for medical Dr. snobs and their spoiled kids..

You know when you are coming in high on a guy, intentional or not it is likely to result in a slobberknocker of a hit because the other guy is unaware of you or not expecting it. Now if Wilson dropped his shoulder lower... I’d say clean hit, bit him keeping high to me is the damning evidence, to me that screams cheap shot and he knew exactly what he was doing. PS, I’ve made similar hits but always aimed my shoulder for the rib cage. No interesting in hitting someone’s head.

Wow... we went thru this past june and they hadnt happened. Saw one Moose and two Grizzly bears but didnt really get any pics worth showing. My wife missed both and was very disappointed. She still hasnt seen a Moose ?

PS for Kayaking beauty I recommend a place little closer to home, Just North of Parry Sound Ont on the Georgian Bay in the 30,000 Islands. Water out there still clean you can stick your face in and drink. Late July and August are the best. Gotta check out the McCoy Islands, the Mink Islands and the open water side of Franklin Island and its little side Islands with small secluded beaches.

PS There is an old Lodge at the top of Lake McDonald that awesome which is at the base of the Highway to The Sun. Restaurant was excellent, had a Bison Burger that was to die for. We camped at campsite at base of Lake, also very nice. There are lodges there too for rent and boat rentals. Gotta do it. Gotta bring your bikes.

You can still get Whale sweater, a guy in Danbury CT owns the rights and has fielded a minor league team though I think it is defunct now. He gets residuals from NHL use of logo.
