While I agree, sometimes getting older precludes us from saying screw it. Let's go for it and see what happens because of those experiences. So I’ve learned to appreciate the young aggressive wiz kids, I was one once. Often I figured out how make things work despite making mistakes. Again, that is why I try and keep an open mind about all perspectives and while jokingly have expressed my concerns about JBots. I realize all the analysis wont mean anything till we see it on the ice. Hoping the Sabres figure out a way to just go for it and not over analyze or be inflexible. I have my doubts but who the heck knows. Id like some definitiveness, but that maybe because Im getting older and in reality there is no such thing. Deep Thoughts though... :)

I think your definition of near term and mine are very different. Im thinking beginning of next year. Im guessing you are thinking in the next couple years. Though Im betting itll be longer than that with the development process.

Now that they lost O'Reilly with question marks coming back... but I see you posted before trade was made... I guess they just did a lot wrong.

For a big man, he seems to be able to cut well and has a rocket of a shot. Him and Oloffson look like they be able to compete for the hardest shot along with Jack. Not bad moves. His skating while not blistering, doesn't look bad and he seems to know where to go based on highlights. If he can keep developing, maybe he could work out. Like his size. Hmmm.

I worry, though the Sabres seem to be working on developing goaltenders too. 3 first rounders next year depending on what the draft looks like should help, especially if St. Louis doesn't make the playoffs. Sabres are loading up on developing talent, but I hate how long it is taking and waiting to see if any of them actually can take the next step is such a question mark. I guess next year will be about developing the young guys which probably means they stink at the beginning of the season and are destined to a similar result as last year. Maybe more points, but still in the bottom sludge. Still a healthy Bergland will be a good thing. The rest of those guys coming back for ROR meh... disappointing.

What about signing Neal... Sabres then would have signed two viable wingers even if the term is long. Luv his game... or would it be a problem down the road?
