    Given it seems like half our D are skating in mud out there, I'd be all for giving him a look. He has wheels, mobility, and a great shot from the point (I'm looking at you Tank Commander Weber). Why not? GO SABRES!!!

    Agree with this take. Easy to see why TB was in the finals last season. Their D zone exits and O zone entrances are a thing of beauty; just elegant hockey. I thought Johnson did well and was the victim of some poor luck on three of those goals. Liked most of Reinhart's game today. Hopefully he can garner 13 minutes a night on that fourth line when Gionta comes back. As many have said already, I think we'll see this team start to gel after 20 games or so. It's only a matter of time. GO SABRES!!!

    Thanks, gentlemen. So it will be Larsson centering Girgs and Reinhart as originally planned, I guess. I just don't see how you can keep Zemgus off Eichel's line. I think DD will be experimenting for a bit. Anyway, I hope they can find Reinhart 13 minutes a night on that third line. I think he'd be better served by that than learning the AHL game, in spite of more ice time in the A. GO SABRES!!!

    Yes, but on what line? Originally, he was slated to skate with Eichel and Kane but after Girgensons played so well with them, does he just break that up? If so, does Gionta then drop down to wing with Larsson and Reinhart? And can a line like that even be effective? I honestly don't know. I'm trying to find Samson a spot to garner 13 minutes or so a game. GO SABRES!!!

    I agree here. Put Kane on that line and let Moulson skate with Eichel and Girgs. Those combinations looked good in preseason. And as impressive as he was last night, Kane's game is a better compliment to O'Reilly's vs. Eichel. Jack needs the puck and Kane doesn't like to give it up while preferring to look for the shot instead. I love that aggression, I just think it can be put to more productive use with O'Reilly at C. Give Jack the puck, go to open spots, and let him create. Perfect for both Moulson and Girgs. GO SABRES!!!

    I tend to agree with this assessment. When Gionta comes back, where does Samson play on the third line? After last night, I can't see Girgs anywhere other than Eichel's wing as his game perfectly compliments Jack's. Does Larsson centering Gionta and Reinhart work? I honestly don't know. Or does Disco Dan ignore the impact of Girgs last night and go with his original plan of Gionta on Eichel's wing with Girgs and Reinhart playing with Larsson? GO SABRES!!!

    That's the downside to him playing with Eichel, who MUST have the puck on his stick as much as possible. GO SABRES!!!

    I wasn't surprised at all. There are well documented flaws in his game going back to LSU. Especially route running. But make a spectacular one hand grab on national TV in the media cradle of the world and you can do no wrong. GO BILLS!!!

    Contrast those remarks to those made by the players in camp. Night and day to when they were saying the defense was anything BUT constraining and how the scheme allowed so much flexibility for creating havoc. There was huge expectation that the D would simply pick up where it left off from last season. But new scheme implementation seldom works that way. What's amazing to me is how our front four doesn't get the credit for forcing teams to drastically alter their passing schemes when they face us. When our safeties and LBs get in the same page and we start jumping on all this short stuff, I think we will see the resemblance to Ryan's previous dominating defenses. I look forward to Carucci's revision down the road. GO BILLS!!!

    Do the four game comparison of statistics between last year and this year and you will see our defense was not the dominating defense they ended up being and last year's D didn't suffer a record breaking performance by Brady that really jacked up the numbers. We are actually statistically better in a couple metrics that matter far more than gross yards allowed, too. Carucci manages to miss the boat entirely by pointing to sacks to make his case. GO BILLS!!!

    I hope it is nothing more than an injury with Carpenter. Nothing fuglier than a kicker with a case of the yipps. It happens and they are never heard from again. GO BILLS!!!

    So it would appear that Reinhart was slated for right wing on the third line with Larsson and Girgs. Looks like McGinn is the 13th forward to start the year. Any chance Samson Wally Pipps Gionta? GO SABRES!!!

    That is the essence of a douche nozzle on Tannehill's part. If true, I gotta believe that what we've seen of the dissension on that team is only the tip of the iceberg. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch. GO BILLS!!!

    It's Roman. But given some of his decisions, I can see how some might think it is Rex. We were outcoached in a big way yesterday. And that 2 minute offense in the first half was embarrassing. Sorry, but a pro OC knows what he is doing there. Roman looked clueless. Gives me concern moving forward. I am not confident Roman is gonna win more chess matches than he loses. Hard to believe he is the same guy who called such an innovative game last week. GO BILLS!!!
