OK, so what would you do? Do we arrest and prosecute people for lapses in judgment? Poor decisions? Stupid, arrogant behavior? Seriously, in the absence of any laws broken, how would you punish her? She will pay a price if the electorate deems her unworthy as a result of her behavior. In the meantime, the people running Congress should bring charges if they have something. Why haven't they done so yet? Please tell me it's for reasons other than partisan politics and the desire to string this along for the duration of her campaign. If she's really such a menace to "national security" they are remiss in their responsibilities by not bringing formal charges.

If laws were broken, she should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of it. If she compromised the security of the nation, why is Congress dragging this out? I think we both know the answer to that. If her lapses in judgement convince her constituency she is unfit for the office she aspires to, she won't get elected anyway. Simple as that.

Totally agree discretion is important. And we can certainly criticize Clinton on that score. But this retroactive classification is nothing more than manufactured, dirty politics.
-
You mean "retroactively classified" information?

This Shkreli guy is a major dick. Love the part about how he urged the FDA not to approve certain drugs made by companies whose stock he was shorting. He has no clue how real people live in the real world. And Wall Street is full of these financial wizkid sociopaths who rig the game. Make and lose millions every day while doing nothing more than entering keystrokes on the computers in their office. I hope he dies of a painful infectious disease.

And they are spectacular!

Yeoman's work here. Thanks for taking the time and effort to illuminate the subject. I have much to learn as a result.

Your insight and edification is highly appreciated. Your last paragraph especially, makes a lot of sense. What do political scientists think of the idea of publicly funded elections?
-
It's not about one candidate. It's about how huge dollars from single entities can buy candidates in elections all over the country, especially in congressional races. That has rendered the idea of one man, one vote meaningless and has perverted our system as a result. So yes, I do think it's a dire situation as a result. Not sure the 'Manchurian Candidate' is the proper reference. None of these bought candidates needs to be "activated" at a future date. They know full well who they serve from day one. No brainwashing required.

Belicheat**** changed his scheme in the fourth quarter. He routinely rushed only four or three and dropped seven or eight into coverage. He stopped sending pressure through the A gaps on blitzes and TT had an easier time seeing the open receivers he was missing earlier. I don't think they got lazy; I think they stopped bringing pressure and crowding the LOS. Some of that was due to Roman using more multiple WR sets and less TE and FB formations, too. GO BILLS!!!

Just caught up to your added text. Well, seeing as they are such solid corporate citizens and give generously to charitable causes, then by all means, they should have free reign to continue to buy politicians and corrupt our idea of a representative republic. Silly me. What was I thinking?

Bailey sounding like an animal out there. GO SABRES!!!

Check the partisan paranoia at the door. It's a legit question. Personally, I think all money should be taken out of the equation. It's corrupted the entire process and has rendered meaningless the notion of "one man, one vote." No reason why we can't have publicly funded elections. Some legitimately talented people might throw their hats into the ring as well.

I love this! GO SABRES!!!

Open toes. Rex likes.

Who are the Koch brothers throwing their money at now? Walker was their chosen one after all the candidates paid their pilgrimages to their offices earlier in the year. Not surprised as Walker has totally underwhelmed.

One of the things that bothers me about TT being 6' 1" is that he has an annoying tendency to make himself smaller by bending his knees too much on dropbacks and when he's scrambling around. My biggest pet peeve is how often he stands flatfooted in the pocket as well. All QBs, but especially shorter ones, need to be up on the balls of their feet when in the pocket. It's easier to move within the pocket and offers a bit more vision for shorter guys. GO BILLS!!!

Sammy broke that CBs ankles on that cut. What a schit call that was. GO BILLS!!! That was a helluva catch. Great effort all the way around. I'm not sure Robey could have covered it any better and Brady, well, he's Brady. GO BILLS!!!
-
I don't think Sammy was the intended receiver but I can't ding him too much for trying to make a play. Has he commented on that play yet? I bet Watkins feels he should have had it, too. I think Taylor will catch hell in the film room. He had guys open but he is too hesitant. Love his moxie to make plays at the end, but he has a ways to go. Love that he stays behind the LOS vs just taking off and tries to make a play, but he is still very raw when it comes to moving around in the pocket. Looking forward to seeing how he responds. On the positive side, we forced Brady into 21 incompletion today. GO BILLS

Simply, I agree with Colin Powell's stance on the deal. The sanctions, while hurting Iran's economy, did nothing to deter their nuclear development program. Since 2005, they increased their number of centrfuges by 1,900%. or, as Powell put it, they were on a superhighway to making a nuke. The deal puts them on a bike path. It bought us time.
-
Of course Iran came to the table because the sanctions hurt them. That doesn't answer the question though. What options are no longer available that were available before the deal was made?
-
You mean the sanctions that no other country at that bargaining table was willing to continue? I will ask again, what options are no longer available that were there before the deal?
