I didn’t mean to imply that it doesn’t do anything for me because Pegula getting rid of Adams is a sign that he’s actually willing to trust somebody other a person who’s been in his employ since he bought the team. My hope is that Pegs can get over his Ruff worship to let Lindy be a direct report to JK moving forward because as much as I like and respect Lindy, I believe a change needs to be made there and if JK feels the same way he should have free rein to replace Ruff without Pegula’s ok.

Jerry is a reflection of the rise of social media and its influence on reporting and the relationships teams have with the beat reporters who cover them. Too many reporters seem to seek opportunities to make themselves adversaries to the team personnel they want information from and, rightfully so, team personnel are going to be less forthcoming in offering such information. I miss the days when reporters like Larry Felser could sit in a hotel bar with a GM, coach, or player and simply have a conversation and establish meaningful relationships. Before and after a win or a loss. Trust is a lost value in journalism nowadays. And we are worse off for it.

It will be interesting to see if McD comes up with a bracketing scheme to help Taron or concedes that Diggs will get his targets and yardage and make it a point that nobody else beats us. That is a damn good question. My take is that if the Eagles recover that fumble, it’s Eagles ball. Reason being is the play wouldn’t be over until it is completed. The int and subsequent fumble are part of the continuation of play and the play isn’t over until whistled dead by the ref.

We moved the ball all day long, didn’t punt, and shot ourselves in the foot more than anything the Bengals D did. And the fact that they were 10 points up at one point is a reflection of their ability to move against our defense and had nothing to do with what our offense was doing.
