Roger Ailes wrote the book. If all the other peddlers had former political party operatives in charge like FNC does, perhaps they would be seen as just as big a shill. But they don't. My point is that it's not a good thing to have such limited ownership of vast broadcasting networks, regardless of transmission mode. I think it's dangerous. And it never would have happened if the rules for ownership weren't re-written in the 80s. And it's no coincidence that Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes immediately sought to take advantage.

I find the idea of less monopolistic networks ironic given the state of network/affiliate ownership. It's never been controlled by fewer companies/voices.

I am still of the opinion that college hoops, especially at tourney time, is one of the greatest sporting spectacles to behold. Just a great overall game to watch. And NC is one of its cradles. A ton of hoop history down there.

Our jaws dropped while watching this documentary. To think that the measles, common cold, and HIV viruses can be re-engineered to target and kill bone, brain, and blood cancer cells is beyond amazing. First, it's not Ryan's call, ultimately. Second, it can be argued that Kiko was an expendable asset given how the defense improved without him and after having suffered a second torn ACL. Also, there was concern about how he wore down over the course of his rookie year. He has always been light in the ass and he had a real challenge just trying to keep weight on the entire year. There's certainly a ton to like about him as a player and I don't think they would have thought of moving him for just anybody. But McCoy isn't just anybody. Whaley's got a set of brass ones when it comes to thinking he has an opportunity to add impact players. Like him or not, McCoy is the definition of impact player. GO BILLS!!!

I assume this is about his comments from Bucky's column? Was he riffing or responding to pointed questions by Bucky? My guess is the latter and, as such, I don't think Neuvirth would have any problem coming back if the money is right and he has a shot at being a number one goalie. GO SABRES!!!

I hope we can re-sign Mitchell in the summer. I know it was mostly goaltending, but in both of our spurts of better play in December and February, he was a difference maker on the ice with Gionta, especially. I'd rather have him back than Stewart. GO SABRES!!!

I think this is a pretty good indictment of his play and fully validates what I've seen from him on the ice. These stats indicate a problem with desire in my book, which results in the kind of inconsistent play we've seen from him. There is no reason for someone that fast and strong to be so weak in the puck possession department. He just doesn't want it bad enough, often enough. GO SABRES!!!
