  1. I want him just so that we can have three different prospects at the same time (no matter how briefly) with the same name each with a different spelling.
  2. Random media folks for some unknown reason (ie. Laziness) have thrown out the thought of a BU takeover with Drury and Quinn. Theyve been looking the the wrongs BU guy the whole time.
  3. But then you can't pretend to be an insider.
  4. And on top of that, it's a depth chart that is very thin on the blue line
  5. Does anyone know why the guy who played OC in Miracle is currently the #1 search on hockeydb? edit: Googled it, apparent suicide
  6. I'm too lazy to look up his age, but if he's getting an entry level contract, it's automatically two way.
  7. Just like pretty much every other goalie on the face of the earth, Petersen is going to need a few years in the AHL before he's ready. No team is going to give him a shot with the big club right away. I'm sure someone can throw out a name or two of recent guys who made it right away, but it's a very short list.
  8. I've been wondering this with every comment I've seen about McDermott running the show. How on earth does a first time coach wind up getting so much power (if we are to believe some of these stories)? I can never see that happen, especially if you believe the previous guy burned you during his brief tenure.
  9. Go chronological, Antman then Civil War. He's in Civil War, so you might as well see how he got there first.
  10. Expansion guarantees a lot of movement. That definitely makes things far more interesting than usual.
  11. I'll never understand when people get into an uproar about their lack of hockey coverage. They don't broadcast the game (one or two week tourneys don't count) so they gain absolutely nothing from pushing it. So of course most of their hockey guys were going to be at the top of the chopping block for these layoffs. No one here turns to ESPN for hockey information anyway, so no one is losing anything. Those who are worthwhile will catch on with another organization and will be probably wind up gaining more readers/viewers/listeners.
  12. That little red X in the top right corner is the greatest ignore button of all. Trust me, it works wonders.
  13. Sounds like he has narrowed down the job to just about everyone. Really going out on a limb there
  14. One guy with a proven history of being a flake wants to play with a "buddy" who has an even bigger history of being a flake. I can't imagine what would scare teams away here.
  15. I'd rather have Kane, depending on the money obviously. If it's somehow a decision between the two, I stick with the guy who's 8 years younger. The contract's the big if there though.
  16. He should have to come back on the same exact contract. It's still ridiculous that they were able to get out of that nearly free.
  17. The Sabres.
  18. Given what he pulled, I wonder how many teams would even be interested. I guess this is the year for him to try it though. He's 34 so no one gets stuck with a 35+ contract if/when he bolts again.
  19. Yeah, I don't mean to imply that it should be here.
  20. Did they ever give him a contract?
  21. It's all so cyclical. That heavy approach is going to come back at some point. It always does.
  22. They didn't convince you already by completely ignoring anything related to that movie last time around? Hell, even after ignoring it, they went even played it safe by using the time travel to completely erase it. I'm actually kind of surprised that they made a reference or two to it in Logan. Talk about huge shoes to fill. They've done a great job with these two characters all the way through how ever many movies they're up to now. I really don't know too much about McAvoy, but Fassbender has probably been the best out of all four actors in these movies. I'd love to see him get a standalone movie at some point because they've put so much more effort into that character than they have any of the others.
  23. Ahhh, so world cup. Another thing I'm not going to hold against anyone. They're building a team using a completely different set of rules than their day to day job and then there's all the politics involved. So like I said, I'm going to lean much more towards real life evidence like the cap stuff when I figure out whether or not he'd be a good hire.
  24. I'm way behind on this thread, but just for fun, I feel like calling it the trendy "Avs model" instead. It just goes to show you that it's far more about the people than it is the model.
  25. I can understand the cap stuff, but I have a hard time holding anything olympic related for or against any GM. That's such a different animal all together.
