  1. It really doesn't matter if they know it though since they're never going to win it.
  2. Is it bad of me to kind of hope that he fell off a building? I know what movie I'm watching this weekend. I didn't get the chance to watch it over Christmas and now I'm kicking myself.
  3. Wild Card, this is your chance to finally watch Die Hard as a tribute to the passing of Alan Rickman. Yippee ki yay, Hans Gruber.
  4. That guy trying to drive some traffic to his design website sure did have an interesting posting history. I'm surprised a couple people fell for it before the thread was locked.
  5. Edmonton bars/dealers are probably the real winners here
  6. Wasn't he one of the hot shot potential hires? If that's the case, I can't believe he got stuck with Cleveland. Poor guy doesn't stand a chance. Then again, I can't see how coaching there can possibly look back on anyone's resume. Either you're the guy who turned Cleveland around or you're the guy who had no chance anyway.
  7. I wonder what the market really is for him right now. If the popular idea that he's Toronto bound really is where his head is, the Leafs have nothing to gain by trading for him now. They're not playoff bound, so there's no sense in giving up anything. Does someone else want to bring him on as a rental knowing that they have no shot of keeping him beyond this year? That seems like a tough pill to swallow too.
  8. You've been reading my posts, haven't you?
  9. And now that Murray has done it twice, there's always the option of him returning in free agency. It's nice being able to seriously consider that as a possibility.
  10. But then taking back money will also limit them if they want to make similar deals in the future. I think they'd much rather float someone like him through waivers first if they really wanted to move him, just to be free of every penny... but like you said, NMC. By the way, what's the go to site nowadays for info on guys with NMCs and NTCs?
  11. I buy a single ticket when the bigger prizes start to show up. I figure that I actually buy tickets if I want to entertain myself with all of the what if scenarios. All other times I don't touch the lottery or any gambling (which is funny given that I'm going to Vegas in a month).
  12. I wonder if they could actually get someone to bite on Moulson. He's got too many years left though to be stuck taking back some of his money.
  13. Shouldn't Browns fans start frothing at the mouth at any mention of the Browns?
  14. I'm amazed Thorburn has lasted in that organization as long as he has. That type of marginal talent is almost always the one who gets bumped for younger/cheaper talent as they get older. That or at least they bounce around the league from team to team.
  15. I heard the Ravens/Steelers one referred to this week as there being a lot of mutual respect between the players on each side. Now Steelers/Bengals, that's where the hatred is.
  16. :worthy:
  17. The early Laker/Celtic run for the NBA would probably be very similar to the NBA. Basically, if you're going to introduce that hard cutoff for the NHL based solely off of one team, you probably have to use the same point for every single league.
  18. Does not smell like wet dog
  19. 20 points today equals 100 points in the 70s. It's simple math.
  20. I'm still holding out hope that LGR's account "mysteriously" disappeared during the transfer.
  21. Knows that because he once tried to steal said lower hair piece
  22. His arm is down at contact. Any follow through with the arm does not make it a penalty. He would have to lead with a raised elbow, which he did not do. Targeting the head is a different story with way too much gray area for me to dive into, but this one was in no way an elbow.
  23. I know who I'm voting for.
  24. Yeah thanks weave, I now feel old. Whitney got to BU a year or two after I did.
  25. But does the new team try to throw him out there right away or do they give him some time to develop/learn? With the way it went in DC, I can't see him starting anywhere in week 1 next year... well, unless there's a crazy injury scenario.
