  1. Even google isn't helping me
  2. Yes. There's a thread for that garbage.
  3. Have you seen the videos of bass lake? There's a hell of a lot of water out there. I can't wait to explore a bit tomorrow and see how much water is left
  4. Take the political crap somewhere else
  5. I just searched for this Trump thing and CNN actually drops an f-bomb in their story about it. I wonder how long that lasts until they clean it up.
  6. That's actually looks like more than St Louis gave up. This Pochiro kid looks like someone who hasn't been able to make it above the ECHL so far, granted its only one year. I'll have to read up on him, but at first glance it kind of looks like St Louis moved one of their bottom contracts to make this happen. I feel like these two teams have made several deal in recent years. That may be from before Chiarelli though.
  7. My wife keeps asking me if she should come to the hospital after work but I'll tell her to go about her normal day and get her work done. Maybe I'm wrong to do it, but I don't want her to have to revisit any of her experiences from that winter.
  8. My dad moved into an assisted care home at the start of september. Two nights ago they found him passed out on the floor. When they woke him up, the side of his face was droopy, so they thought he may have had a stroke. Yesterday, at the hospital, they determined that it was bell's palsy and not a stroke. In the process though, they found a mass in his brain. He's scheduled for surgery on monday.
  9. I love the concentration by the outfielder. He never even flinches until after he caught the ball. Impressive.
  10. I won't get into the permission thing, but we'll find out with the rest eventually. It still hasn't been long enough to see it play out with enough people. Then again, who knows what kind of forum people will be using by the time those kids are old enough.
  11. They're on second.
  12. #4 seems pretty clear to me. If they do want to give Nylander his shot, Fasching starts the year in the AHL. It's easy enough to then swap them out in a couple weeks if needed and doesn't cause much of a disruption.
  13. I saw someone on facebook recently with a picture of a "Hillary for prison" hat on his infant son. Forget for a second what you think about either candidate, I'm sure as hell not using any baby, especially my own to pass along a message like that.
  14. Isn't it only the Kaleta effect if he actually gets suspended?
  15. I'll never go any further than Target. It's definitely not worth it, especially with the current construction.
  16. Has that place even been there longer than a year? Wasn't there some random toy store in that space very recently? Anyway, I needed to get a plate before I moved to Holly Springs and that one would have been a lot more convenient than where I wound up going.
  17. If I'm doing my math correctly, that day where they sent down Bailey and others was the first one where teams were allowed to place players on waivers. So that's why you're getting a lot of those moves across the league at the same time.
  18. There's only one way to find out...
  19. You know when you get calls from scammers/telemarketers and they can mask the caller ID so that it shows up as being from the same area code as your own? Does anyone know how they do that and how much control they have over the number that is displayed? I just got a call from a number that was 1 digit off of my own (ie: my number is 716-111-1111 and the caller ID listed 716-111-1112). It's kind of creepy seeing a number that close. I get a kick out of these calls though. They make them come from your own area code so that you're more likely to trust them. For me though, since I haven't lived in Buffalo for so long, the only calls I get from that area are people I know. I will answer an unknown call from any other area code before I will answer one from 716.
  20. You mean sending down a handful of guys and then calling them back up?
  21. I just assumed the AL doesn't matter and the real WS is the NLCS.
  22. Once they've cleared, they don't have to clear again until they've played in 10 NHL games. Like 11 said, it's not very likely with these guys, but who knows. Maybe you do it early just in case some crazy injury doesn't suddenly make a team consider a claim.
  23. Ballsy world series pick there
  24. Not that it was a major concern with the couple guys involved, but was the initial move just a smokescreen so that guys like Catenacci and Schneider can be cleared through waivers early?
