The strange stuff with Fish towards the end covered several episodes (I forget how many), so that one certainly qualifies as a subplot. That and then they pretty much ignored it when she returned in the season finale. Unfortunately, since it was the end of the season, that is what is freshest in my mind from their first year.

Have you even gotten an email from "family" that so egregiously crosses the line that you know an enormous storm is about to hit? I'm not looking forward to the second I find out that my wife has read this one.

The first season for a bit crappy down the stretch with that weird surgeon transplanting eyes. I have no idea what the point of that whole subplot was.

The Paris idea does sound a bit interesting. I'll have to look into that a bit.

Mirage and MGM were two that were showing up yesterday with some prices I was very comfortable with. I'd imagine that as long as I avoid the one or two places that most people aren't crazy about, I should be fine. Still, I'd much rather hear comments from threads like this as opposed to online reviews. I have a hard time getting anything out of those.

I really wish I had Starz.

The trip is going to be 4 nights.

The wife and I are planning a trip to Vegas in February. I think we'll wind up staying on the strip, close to everything, but are there certain places we should aim for? I think we'll be going for a middle of the pack place in terms of pricing. Anything else in the area we should go out of our way to see?

I gotta say, I didn't watch a single second of football this weekend and it was awesome. This is what you have become, NFL.

It turns on, but I'm not so crazy about using it now that I've located where it's coming from.

Everything's under warranty for a year, so you damn well better believe that they're fixing it, not me.

Well at least not everything is bad.

Can you use some of the figures for those games on multiple systems? Basically, can your kid take it over to his/her friend's house and still use it?
-
At least you get a little toy with these additions now. The non-kid games have such a ridiculous scam going with selling their downloadable content. They sell you an incomplete game and then keep raking in cash as they make more portions of it available to you.

I'm having a potential electrical issue in my house and I'm not sure what to think about it. Two times this week I've heard something that sounds like a light bulb blowing out as I flipped a wall switch. The first time (last sunday) the sound was about 15 seconds or so after I hit the switch and had walked away. I wasn't really sure where it was coming from, and since we had food going in the crockpot, I thought maybe it was just a bubble in there. The second time I heard the noise (last night), it happened immediately as I hit the switch, so I knew exactly where it came from. Should I be concerned about this? I've never heard a sound like this from a switch and I don't know a thing about wiring and the like. I've already emailed the builder about it (new construction home, been here about 5 months), but haven't heard back yet. So I'm stuck playing the waiting game right now.

I was so tempted to pick up Lego Dimensions for my brother and his son last night. That thing's pricey though. Ultimately, I decided not to since his son is still a bit young for games.

More on this. Apparently the mother-in-law is trying to convince my wife to head up there without me for thanksgiving next year. It's nice to see how I'm viewed.

We did the same, slowed down significantly and had the blinker on.

The wife certainly needs to grow a spine and stick up for herself, but that day is never coming. I just try to stay the hell out of the way because I know I'm never winning this one. It just amazes me how little my thoughts matter to them (and I'm being generous by saying how little). Actually, I take that back, I am winning this one because no matter how much the meddle, I know who I'm sleeping next to each night.

My only experience with being in a pulled over car came when I was much younger, so I don't really have a good perspective on this. I do know from those cases though that you definitely reap what you sow. Treat them with respect and that's what you'll get in return. There was only one time where we got a lot of attitude from the cop, but we totally understood it. My friend was speeding on the highway at night in a section that had the entire right lane blocked off with cones for future construction. My friend had one of those "oh crap, you got me" reactions, but had no idea where to pull over. He wound up driving for an extra mile or so until the cones were gone and immediately pulled over. The officer right away wasn't happy about that, but my friend was very quick with the "sorry sir, I had no idea where to pull over" and his attitude changed fairly quickly. I'm sure it didn't hurt that he could clearly see the goalie pads and hockey sticks in the back seat and knew right away where we were coming from. I can't remember whether or not he wound up with a ticket, as I didn't particularly care too much since I wasn't the one at fault. Honestly though, I think I would have done the same exact thing had I been driving. I see those cones as a "stay the hell out of here" message and would have been just as confused. The road was fairly deserted, so there wasn't any risk of accident. What would the officer expect a driver to do in this situation?

The in-laws have apparently planned a summer getaway weekend which involves renting a beach house in ME without once asking us for our thoughts. They've got a place and price already set. I'm glad to see my input is valued, especially given that we need to spend extra to fly up there... and of course securing the time off.

The following is possibly a spoiler, I'm not sure, but it's just speculation based on the clip released monday. So take that as your warning, but I don't think it requires tag since it is nothing more than speculation. The popular opinion online is that monday's clip was a Batman nightmare of what Superman could become. Thinking of it that way, it makes a hell of a lot more sense.

An eccentric effeminate Lex Luthor. It's an odd move, no doubt.

I'll probably get punched for asking, but is this legal?
