    Longest tenured Sabre and only 26 years old. It's amazing how much this game has changed in the last ten or so years.

    Did they ever get into full details of how exactly Bridgewater was hurt? I don't remember hearing much after the initial reports about how gruesome it was.

    They think those slogans are bad? Carolina has been running with "join the REDvolution" for at least two years now. What does that even mean?

    For the past 6 months or so they've been building a brand new overpass on my drive to work. They're essentially building a new highway, so it's a ton of work to grade the area and then build everything from scratch. They're at the point now where they're putting the steel girders up over the road. It's kind of creepy to think about, but it has been very cool to see this process play out over time.

    I just ordered a new tv with the sole intention of having it here in time for hockey season.

    Is Gloria Estefan injured because she's still on the roster too. I really haven't been following closely but I hadn't seen the name mentioned much.

    I'm all for mocking horrible photoshops that make someone look fake though. That's always fun. I've got a great picture on my phone from a game at Fenway of the profile picture they were using for a random player on the jumbotron. I should really host is somewhere so I can post it. They made a hilarious decision when editing that one.

    Best of luck to you. There's must be something in the water right now that's hitting fathers. We just put mine in a home last week and he's a wreck. My neighbor's dad broke his hip a day or two ago and is supposed to be in very bad shape, sounds like it may be the end for him. I know people seem to think I'm a complainer, but I've always taken a lighthearted approach to this thread. So many of the posts are made tongue in cheek mostly for fun. You've got to enjoy as many moments as you can.

    Honestly, most don't matter much at all since they are fringe guys. There's only one in a key role. He just happens to be filling the most important spot on the entire roster.

    It really doesn't matter much given that it's a depth/AHL signing, but Murray sure does love dealing with Ottawa and ex-Ottawa players a lot. "He likes his own guys way too much" was a common complaint with Regier, but operating that way is way more common than we think. It's amazing to see how these guys develop their own little network that they wind up dealing with constantly. It probably sheds a lot of light onto the annual question from each fanbase of why we couldn't make that same trade since our trade chips were better.

    Most of the time you can question intent, but wow, that one is about as blatant as possible.

    I was at the stage for a few years where I couldn't watch anything beyond Bills games. Just imagine how masochistic that is.

    It currently smells like cigarettes in here. My guess is that someone is smoking right next to the compressor. It never ceases to amaze me how often I see people smoking directly next to the signs that say "smoke free campus".

    She never looked anything like that. They shaved off so much cheekbone in that picture that she doesn't even look like an actual human being.

    Unfortunately I have watched football on one Thursday. That was enough for me. All the suspensions for stupidity really pushed me towards the edge, piled on top of the downward spiral in the quality of the league's product over recent years. I still want to see them win, but I don't actually want to see them. I hope I'll get it back someday, but I doubt it happens.

    I've yet to watch a single second of football any weekend so far. It's been great.

    Ristolainen probably stole his girlfriend via the internet. That kind of thing happens to Lambert from time to time.

    It's probably urine. How photoshopped is her face there? That barely even looks like her. Then again, I can't remember the last time I actually saw her on TV.

    I have to say, after reading all the crap in here I half expecting Scott to pull the plug. It almost sounds like a few actually want that and it blows my mind. I now know why X, in my opinion one of if not the most interesting poster to read, walked away. I genuinely do not understand the way people operate anymore and what it is we actually talk about around here. So just in case my fear does come to, thanks for what you've put together here Scott. I'd venture to guess that most people do appreciate the little world you've built for us here.

    I would expect the "some people just like to watch the world burn" quote. And all I take from what has been said here since my most recent post is that some people take this place way too seriously. Censorship? Challenging authority? It's a freaking message board. The social and political angst is way over the top.

    My wife saw a kid at her school today (in NC) wearing a Sabres Dale Hawerchuk shirt. How's that for random?

    I for one have a big problem when anyone takes issue with how Scott runs this board (it's happened in here a few times). He's gone a long way to provide this place to us free of charge. He has given to us far more than anyone has to him. For that reason alone, I wish people would drop the petty board related complaints.
