Which is exactly why it will be over by the weekend. Still, if I can get back a couple bucks I'll do it.

There's apparently a contract dispute here in Raleigh between Direct TV and the company that owns both the local Fox and CBS affiliates. As of last night, those two were pulled from my lineup. Fortunately, I don't think I watch anything on either right now. How long do I have to sit through this though before I can demand some money back from Direct TV?

So if LaFontaine really was trying to exclude Ted Black, isn't that a major problem? Say what you want about what Black's role is supposed to be, but if you're trying to exclude the organization's president from anything, you're just asking for trouble.

I've never understood the "admiring his shot thing", but it's amazing how slow motion can bring up that argument. He's hit probably less than a second after releasing the shot. How is he supposed to look anywhere but the net within that timeframe? Anyway, it's also funny how two different angles can show completely different things. One angle makes it look like shoulder to chest, while the other looks like some contact was made with the head. I don't know if they'll do anything, but it is at least the type of blindside hits that they've been going after for a while now.

I'm sure it happens all the time, but we've seen a very impressive run of deaths in the music world over the last month. Lemmy, Natalie Cole, Bowie, and now this. Expand the window a bit more and you can add Scott Weiland to the list.

I just finished it this week. I'm not sure if you e seen very much of Killgrave yet through three episodes. Give it a chance, he is super creepy, a great villain.

I'm too lazy to verify it, but I did hear some comments in the coverage over the last couple days stating that certain states you are required to be identified. Still, there's different levels of that, whether it's just being listed on some website that no one ever visits or going all out with a press event like you're describing. I have no idea what level is required.

I suppose they had at least some kind of choice on the matter. They've currently got a roster of 22, right? As far as I can remember, they're not carrying an extra forward right now, with Ennis and Deslauriers both listed as on IR. It's not idea, but they could have carried all three goalies if they really wanted to ride Ullmark for a few more games.

I didn't watch, but I did hear some clips this morning of a back and forth between Cruz and Trump. The whole thing sounded staged to me, like the two guy on top getting together and coming up with some sound bites that will monopolize the air time the following day.

They had the idiot winners from Tennessee announcing it on the Today Show this morning, before even going to the lottery commission (or whatever they call the people who run this thing). There's one thing I sure as hell wouldn't be doing, going public. I suppose you probably have to in some form, but if I won this thing there's no way I'm putting the giant bullseye on my back like that. Hell, I'd try to avoid telling certain people in my family too. Oh, and I'm definitely not flying half way across the country with that ticket.

So the overrated thread got me thinking back to my college days. Each time the BU hockey team played the last place team, I really wanted the fans to direct an "overrated" chant at that team. It would have been hilarious. But then again, I get fed of with chanting in general, mostly because it's almost always the same robotic stuff over and over. At least mix it up and go with off the wall stuff that doesn't make sense: "overrated" directed at a horrible team, "safety school" directed at Harvard. Unfortunately my sense of humor doesn't line up with the masses.

They got rid of re-entry waivers, so you can only be claimed before being sent down. I was wondering that same thing though.

I'm pretty sure I've seen stories in the past that the league has some sort of mentorship program in place for these scenarios.

I've only seen CNN coverage of the whole thing, but they've been sensationalizing it too. It's not just a Fox News thing.

Rehab stints are capped at 14 days. The team can't just let him stay there longer. As for his stats, I wouldn't be too concerned over those. That's not the kind of stuff they're going to be working on in those games. It's mostly about getting him in game shape and letting him work on specific things. I'd be curious to see how other goalies have done with theirs, but it seems like they usually wind up with marginal stats. The good thing in all of this is that Johnson has shown that he can be serviceable, so they'll be able to slowly move Lehner along at the NHL level and not just throw him to the wolves

4 projected first round picks for BU. I wish I had the energy for research, but that number has to be unheard of for a college team. I hope everything stays on track and this actually happens.
