How do you pronounce Utah?

I guess I should have emphasized the “you” in how do you pronounce it, as I’m not overly interested in how it’s supposed to be pronounced.

A local journalist says Yew-tah, I always thought he was wrong.  Schopp might say it that way as well.  I wouldn’t cite any central Pennsylvania pronunciation as rule of law as I can’t get past the may-zure pronunciation of measure.

The second syllable. I’m fairly certain everyone pronounces U correctly. I’m sure there are weirdos who say something different.  I had an employee who pronounced Saturday as sodder dee

I have family members who pronounce words ending in W as almost an L sound. Example: Lowe’s is pronounced Lowls .
