nobody on this team cares about winning when the games don't count

38 year old Crosby tho, in his 21st season, doesn't matter to him, he just wants to win anytime anywhere

that's the difference

team still sucks, I'm out

Have to agree. I saw nothing this preseason that fills me with optimism for this coming season. I see the same team. Some of the players may have changed but nothing to indicate this is a big improvement. Really really hope I'm wrong but we'll know soon enough now. The Penguins back to back games really killed any optimism I may have had.

Great - delete your membership here then. All because of a pre-season game, lol.

Ah, yes, because the pessimism a Sabres fan might have at the moment is entirely due to a single pre-season game, and not related to an established pattern or anything of the sort whatsoever.

Don't worry. it's a long season. I'll get back to you by US Thanksgiving. Let's see where they stand again by that time.

That is the kind of sloppy, uninspired, and at times lethargic effort you get when you don't have any actual real job competition in camp.

This team has way too many guys who look to the refs for help rather than battling through. Pens got the greasy, Sabres watched and complained about it.

Nothing has really changed. This looks exactly like last year and it'll yield the same results. Maybe even worse, if injuries continue.

Some will say it's meaningless games. Again, if you have access to replays, watch the meaningless game between Florida and Tampa from last night by way of contrast.

Not a whole lot of interest or urgency in the third. Didn’t see many dawgs down the stretch. Here’s hoping the regular season brings another level of effort. Consistently.

If it’s not instilled in preseason there’s no reason to believe it will be there in the regular season.

Feeling like Levi may be the call if UPL instant while. They’re desperate for a hot start and Lyon and Georgiev don’t seem oooe the answer

Lyon was fine this game - he had two weird goals against him, one that shouldn't have counted.

Good evening teammates, glad I had family commitments and missed this one. From reading the thread it was up, down, and way down.

My first concern is goaltending, just like every year in the Adams era. A team cannot emerge to the next level without goaltending.

I’m shocked at the wild over reactions to a preseason game without even close to a normal game atmosphere hahaha

Was it a raucous scene as compared to your normal stuffy key bank center crowd on a Monday evening ?

I don’t think Lyon is a problem. I have concerns about Georgiev.

That and the golden goal

“IGGY!”
