Granlund I thought was going to get $6m per so he’s not that out of line. Ehlers will prob get $9m or more, which is a pipe dream for us. Hoping for Suter for us, maybe 2 years 4.5 - 5 per re-up Byram 2 for 13m, Timmins 2 for 4m, sign Suter 2 for 9m, leaves us with 1m or so cap space, call it an offseason and I think most of us would be happy Edited 18 hours ago by Turbo44 Quote

All quiet on the non-palm tree front rumor of cgy heavily into Byram but not sure what they could send us back of equal value?! I don’t see the match Quote

WhenWillItEnd66 Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago I am resigned that Byram is staying and our offense is what it is with what we have. Only decent news is that we are defensively slightly better and a bit bigger. I do not believe hard to play against until i see a Sabres team actually do it!! Would love to see a couple of opposing forwards get laid flat as they try and enter our zone without our player getting injured in the process!! (Yes Muel, that is YOU!!) 1 Quote

If you sign Byram to the type of contract he may command (see Miller's deal with Carolina) than you're going to have little cap room for guys like Tuch and Kesserling next year. Personally I think that's investing too much on our defense when we have little on offense outside of Tage and Tuch IMO. Norris might be a top 6 guy but his injury history is scary. Quote

Nope cap is jumping $10m more next year so we’d be okay I believe - 95m-104m Quote

Think he is another shoot first player. Two for one if they add a young RHD to the trade. Adams would take that and run. Quote

I think this is nonsense. The cap is going up to 7 million ish next year and you already account for 4.75 for Tuch's current deal so you only need to find 4million for his next one... okay that leaves you 3million of that 7mill increase and there's Kesselring's money. Sabres only have 60 million tied up in contracts already for next year. And on top of alllllll of that, if you signed Byram to 7.5mil x 7yrs you could literally trade him if needed next summer. Only a chicken ***** like Adams is worried about paying players next year when he can't even ice a competitive team this year. 2 2 1 Quote

Only McTavish remaining as an RFA. Young forwards like Terry, Gauthier, and Carlsson are all high draft picks and ready to take the next step. Then add a new head coach, and trades to shake up the core. Live look at Verbeek talking to Adams. but-i-tried-didnt-i-goddamn-it.mp4 1 Quote

That's $14MM glistening in Pegula's eye. They'll like it a lot less when they're within $5MM of the cap (maybe even $3MM). Quote
