Kevyn Adams pre draft press conference and shenanigans festival

January makes some sense but the rest doesn't. That said, I think Forton basically drives the draft bus and Adams just regurgitates what he's told about players.

Also Adams has access to prospects video in shift by shift mode with AI tracked fancy stats. He's got a lot easier job keeping up with them if he wanted but... he's not good at his job.

Yes and now he's going to ask his buddy Staal if the guy offered in a trade is any good and then he'll double check if it's okay with Jarmo (maybe). More clowns in the car.

Face to face or face to cheeks?

Actually neither.  Pegula has embraced the “virtual” concept.  We have a virtual AGM who lives in Pittsburgh, a virtual senior Advisor who lives in Ohio and a virtual special advisor who lives wherever (Carolina?).  At this rate, Pegula going to have a virtual coaching staff, virtual players and a virtual arena.

The day to day is also, by all accounts, $hit. So, what exactly does he do. He ices a crap team, gives laughable public conferences and lacks any killer instinct. He's essentially a Hemmhroid attached to the innards of Terry's rectal cavity. For some reason Terry seems to enjoy having Hemmhroids. Good for him I suppose 😜

Looking for soothing solutions.

Does he not do predominantly virtual scouting as well?

not unfair.

it occurs to me: i don't really know a thing about laura -- a child of terry's first marriage.

she's not a tennis pro and personal essayist (jessica). she hasn't come up with any harbourcenter restaurant concepts. (kelly). she didn't create the j1zz hat (matthew).

what's laura's story?

PLEASE let it be quiet competence.

The advisor thing is a no brainer. Of course it's remote. It's probably not even a full time role.

I think the AGM is likely a bit of a rarity. Karmanos is probably not the only one, but I would be very comfortable in getting the under on 5 AGM's not living in their NHL or AHL city. That's a totally uneducated guess though

But it is surprising that the most senior hockey guy on the payroll in any capacity is not coming in to be in the draft room in person.

Where was this reported?

I learned at least 5 things of real interest to me:

  • Samuelsson is not getting bought out
  • The Peterka  talk is real
  • The coaching staff is coming back
  • The Sabres see the top of the draft as 6-7 players deep; with a large cluster immediately after
  • Alex Tuch is open to re-signing; talks will get serious after draft/free agency

I also learned that the Kevyn Adams hate has risen to the point that pretty much anything that comes out of his mouth at any time will trigger somebody on Sabrespace, but I guess i knew that already. 😁

And KA has confidence in our goaltending, apparently
