I caught the tail end of something about this on WGR.  It also ties into some hunger charity--which one, I don't know, because I was too late.  That may (or may not) have something to do with the timing.

Also, they wanted white end zones for this but can't paint over the blue turf for reasons.  Next year, however, they will be able to paint over the natural grass.

White end zones with white sidelines sounds like a truly awful idea.

Not trying to contradict your point…more to support it. I know offense is easier than ever to score, but the Bills have scored 30+ each of the four weeks of 2025. It’s amazing that we can say we are less than impressed with that output. What a time to be alive as a Bills fan.  😀

ain't that the truth.

unless i'm mistaken (totally possible), they put 30 on the saints and didn't have the benefit of a single short field or even really good starting field position!

it’s forecast to be a beautiful summer like day and evening.

I don’t think they ever intended the theme of this game to coincide literally with the weather.

it’s a nationally televised game where they will celebrate the team’s legacy with winter weather games. i’m sure they hope to sell a sh1t ton of those “icy” whiteout jerseys — with SNF helping them hit/exceed their targeted #s as they approach the winter months.

Well, if the crowd at the Fishies game was any indication, they've already sold a #### ton of the Lions/Cowboys Bills jerseys.

I ordered one for my wife from the NFL website and delivery time is 6 weeks. Disappointing timeline but they do look cool in my opinion (and I hope, in hers as well)

Lions, not Cowboys. The Bills' original uniforms were Lions colors. Ralph was a minority owner of the Lions before getting his own team.

The stadium-goers have bought a lot of the rivalry alternate uniforms.

With SNF, I presume they’re hoping to scale that # up.

Yes.  They wore silver & blue that 1st season.

But, IMHO, that ice jersey evokes Dallas' threads more than Detroit's.  (Thus calling them Lions/Cowboys.)
