Even with the bad penalty by Krebs & the oops by Lyubushkin giving the Jets life & giving up the late empty netter, would say this was probably their most complete game of the year.

They boxed out well most of the night but got away from it some in the 3rd but not for long.  And they possessed the puck so well.  Getting 3 on Hellybuck is impressive.

Even though all the goals came w/ the top line &/or the top PP unit on the ice, the other 3 lines played well too & the Sabres could easily have had 6 against a normal goalie.

This team. Omg. The Winnipeg color guy said multiple times that the Sabres just weren’t very good defensively even as they controlled play in the Jets zone for large parts of the game. Pretty much dominated with the Jets shot count hovering around 11 for most of the 2nd and into the 3rd. That was a statement game imo and this team just put the league on notice. I was entertained. TY Sabres.

Best game vs a quality opponent by a Sabres team in years.  Dominant performance, even if the score makes it seem closer.  Could have been 8-2

More meaningful than when we destroyed Columbus.  Winnipeg is a good team.

In this game, I thought none of our lines or defensive pairings were outplayed. That says a lot against this team with one of the best rosters and goalies in the game. Being faster and quicker against St. Louis isn't much of an accomplishment because our roster is constructed to be faster. But to out quick and out pace this high quality roster with a number of offensive studs is a testament to the quality of our lineup.

There are a number of players who could be singled out for their performances. But one player who I thought was outstanding was Joki. He was more than solid in the defensive zone, and he is becoming more involved with the offense with his passing and shooting.

Skinner's passing is becoming more obvious as the season advances.

Tuch is a tremendous addition to the roster. He's a true power forward.

Krebs is feisty.

Comrie didn't face a lot of shots. But he made a number of high-end stops in the beginning of the first period that set this game up for a win.

The trade Olofsson talk has slowed down. It should be silenced.

This game was a good measuring stick game that demonstrated that the Sabres are a good team. And I'm confident that all the teams in the league are aware of it. No more flying under the radar.

This is turning out to be an exciting season.
