Gotta say - I've really enjoyed the the qualifying play. Nothing beats playoff hockey. The RR lacked intensity but good to see nonetheless.

You've undoubtedly been awaiting my round 1 predictions. ?

Here they be:

Blue Jackets in 6

Flames in 6

Canes in 7 (please, please please)

Knights in 5

Islanders in 7

Avalanche in 5

Flyers in 6

Blues in 6

Who you got?

Knights in 5

Avalanche in 6

Stars in 6

Cannucks in 7

Flyers in 5

Blue Jackets in 7

Islanders in 7

Carolina in 6

It's a paradoxical cliche, but: all other things equal, offence can win games but defence can win championships.

Yup, just like the Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals............

Every one of you better be rooting against the Flames

Just like I hate the leafs and didn’t root for them to win in the qualifying rounds, I don’t like the Stars and I’ll be pulling for the Flames ??? ??

Boston - Carolina won't be able to start for awhile after this game is finally over.  Gonna be some late night hockey!

They said they need 87 minutes between games. So gonna be an hour and a half from the time this game ends.

Yes disinfect the benches and locker rooms before the other teams can use them and refinishing the ice will be the long parts.

This game is nuts. Korpisalo with 70 saves, 3 off the record for playoffs and Seth Jones with 60 mins TOI. And now going into quadruple OT.

Korpisalo now owning and building the record.

Jones may have a shot at the TOI record (they said something in the 60's is the current record.)

Bogosian slipping & falling at the blue line, poised to give up the puck is just like old times.

Korpisalo is playing lights out so far. Not like we need any lessons on how far stellar goaltending can take you. Hasek schooled everybody on that.

This game could go on forever...
