If JBOTS can (barring some sort of crazyass trade) save Moulson's buried cap hit letting Lehner walk, and Pommers takes a fourth line, special teams role for a year, better to have them off the cap sooner. I doubt he'll need the money. With Bogo, Pommers and Moulson counting 15 mil against the cap and Jack adding 10 more, that's 25 mil. They may need the money. Subtract Lehner, Kane, Gorges, probably a few others, it's not unmanageable for a year. There are literally 25 guys under contract next year, including everybody in the minors.
