This is exactly right. We all know there's not many NHL's on the Amerks now - we also know there is a 2-3 year gap in expectations for the Sabres to get built by their farm club. Who? The ECHL goalie? Were you perhaps referring to Davidsson? Also, is there any news regarding Borgen or Fitzgerald indicating that he is likely to sign with the Sabres? Shuffling these players to Rochester is restocking the cupboard? It’s hard to say how big an influx of talent those players may be, particularly at a young age, when they either haven’t played a pro game or haven’t done so in NA. The Amerks have also lost 14 of their last 18 games, they may need more help than initially thought. Mittelstadt would be the only one I’d consider a lock to be an NHLer. Someone is going to replace Ullmark in Roch, why not Johansson. He might not be ready to be the starter in Roch, but I suspect he'll get a shot at one of the two AHL jobs. No news, but people on the internet that pay closer attention than I do seem to think that we have very little chance of keeping Borgen in the organization. I don't believe Borgen ever played for the Olympic team... that tells me they preferred to have Wisniewski in the lineup as a pure power play specialist over this kid. I've never said Borgen will or won't sign with us. I just said there is nothing that I've seen that says he is interested in testing the FA market, so I keep asking for articles from which others have based their opinion on that he won't sign here.
