Brawndo
Per Sabres #Sabres defenseman Zach Bogosian will undergo hip surgery next week. The procedure has an estimated recovery time of 4-6 months. As a result, Bogosian will remain on injured reserve for the duration of the season, but is expected to be ready for the start of 2018 training camp. GASabresIUFAN
Was he ever ready for this season or last season for that matter? At least we have more cap space for the deadline.

GASabresIUFAN
Could this be a Bo Jackson kind of hip injury and end his career? Edited January 26, 2018 by Georgia Flakt

Swedesessed
Was Bogo's contact Front loaded in that the cap hit and actual cash that has to be paid is much lower, or also trade him to a team who wants to get above the floor (cough, Arizona, cough)

The actual cash in the last 2 years is $6 million. It was signed with the Thrashers/Jets.

Randall Flagg
This shocked me in that I didn't realize there was still a chance we'd see him this season...
Huckleberry
Great trade for the Sabres, not! Believe it or not until a week ago he played more games than Myers did since the trade.
Doohicksie
This shocked me in that I didn't realize there was still a chance we'd see him this season... There wasn't. Any appearance that he might play again this season was an illusion.

GASabresIUFAN
This is the perfect Leafs type opportunity to put Mr. Glass on LTIR forever and free up the cap roster slot and cap space

DarthEbriate
This is the perfect Leafs type opportunity to put Mr. Glass on LTIR forever and free up the cap roster slot and cap space If it isn't career-threatening he'll be back. He's still young. But we could try to move him (while on IR Evander Kane-style) to a team that has to take on some salary for next season and isn't interested in winning just yet. It also adds the option of packaging Kane + Bogo to a non-competing team this season that has lots of salary space next season (like Vancouver), instead of just sending Evander to a contender as a rental. The opportunity is there for Antipin! Let's go, Viktor! (And to a lesser extent, Beaulieu, but he's been such a disappointment this season I'm not holding my breath.) Iron Crotch
Anything to get rid of this guy. Seriously. His contract is terrible. He's made of glass (Glass Zach). And, in the rare instances when he's healthy, he's not even a good/effective player. Just get him the hell off the roster Mr. General Manager.
