And we cannot exclude St Louis as Jeremy Rutherford of the St Louis Athletic seems to think something might be brewing.

The Sabres need to start the day with Jonathan Berggen.

Bode Wilde has too many concerns as USA Hockey left him off the Summer Showcase in addition to his de committing from Michigan.

There was some serious reaches day 1, but Filip Johansson? No one had him above 39 (Iss had him at 39). Most had him in the 50s.

Kotaniemi 3rd?

Hayton top 5?

Foudy and O’Brien 18 & 19?

Good news for us.

Best available from my board

Wilde

Thomas

McLeod

Noel

Olofsson

Berggren

McIssac

Samuelsson

Another good piece in the Athletic, this one on intangibles and how to place tangible value on them.

Toronto Marlies coach JT Bourne says people misuse the interview process and allow it to become an exercise in determine whether you like this person, which is irrelevant as to how good he is.

That said, he said interviews can be useful

“The factor I found correlated most with success was earnestness. At that age, it’s so, so easy to be “too cool.” You’ve been a star at every level your whole life, you’ve made it look easy, this is a breeze for you. Only, once you hit a certain level, and everyone else is awesome too, it takes some humility to suddenly change your tune and go “Damn, I’ve gotta change how I do things. I have to work harder. I have to listen more, I have to ask more questions.”

Dahlin certainly seems to have that. You wonder about some of our other young guys.

Related: I don’t want Bode Wilde.

We need the board members to post Kris Baker's latest tweets as their own thoughts 30 minutes later to help keep the thread going.

Honestly, if I want to learn about a prospect, I read Baker first and Liger second.  Liger knows his .

I will add to this important acknowledgement of the effort of others done on my behalf .... and recognize Crusader and Rakii (who gives me a view I still don’t quite understand, sorta like Stephen Hawking did).

This and the next round are where re-builds REALLY take place ...
