Amerks8796
This is a great signing. The Amerks are looking good. I'd like one more solid bottom 6 forward and they should be set. Or one more NHL forward signed for Buffalo.
DarthEbriate
He was there for a matter of months. That hardly counts as a signing one of Housley's guys. True. Sometimes it's a valid point. And sometimes it's for the excuse of making a reference. (I do half-expect us to get a Nashville/Milwaukee defenseman sometime by next July 4th. Not one of their top 4, but someone who Housley knew in the system and thinks he can groom to play his way.)
dudacek
This is a great signing. The Amerks are looking good. I'd like one more solid bottom 6 forward and they should be set. Or one more NHL forward signed for Buffalo. Fasching, Baptiste, Bailey, Nylander, Griffith, Rodrigues, Porter, Moises, Criscuolo, Malone, Smith, Cornel, Karabacek, Krause, Kile, Danforth — that's 16 forwards with only one spot open in Buffalo. Also Tennyson, Falk, Fedun, Guhle, Nelson, Goers, Martin, Stevens, Florentino and (unconfirmed) MacWilliam — 10 D with no spots open in Buffalo. Ullmark, Wilcox, Johannsen and Kasdorf in net. And you really think we need more depth? I tell you one thing: if Botterill doesn't keep his promise about the Amerks it won't be for lack of trying. Amerks8796
Amerks just signed Nathan Paetsch. The defense looks very promising on paper.
darksabre
Amerks just signed Nathan Paetsch. The defense looks very promising on paper. That's a nice veteran signing for Rochester.
Amerks8796
That's a nice veteran signing for Rochester.Issue now is the veteran rule. Depending on how things shake out, Amerks may need to sit a couple vets each night. Usually this takes care of itself relatively quickly with injuries and call ups. LGR4GM
More reason to keep Guhle in Rochester
inkman
That's a nice veteran signing for Rochester. I'll wager he's a safe bet to be a money player

shrader
I had to look him up to see how old he is now. I'm kind of surprised that he's still playing. Check out the name of the team he played for in Germany back in 2011-12.
Amerks8796
He's still playing?Yes. He just won a Calder Cup with Grand Rapids. He's very good at the AHL level. Edited September 12, 2017 by Amerks8796
That Aud Smell
He's still playing? I reacted samewise. Patches! Ties to the glory years. Also: Wasn't he somehow caught up in that gambling fiasco with Vanek?
Doohickie
Yes. He just won a Calder Cup with Grand Rapids. He's very good at the AHL level. He wasn't half bad at the NHL level, as long as he played at his best. The Calder Cup win may be part of trying to bring a winning culture to Rochester. Huckleberry
Well guess for rochester its not a bad signing.
Two or less
He's still playing? Not only was he still playing, but he was the captain of the Calder Cup champions season. Obviously things could change, but i'm thinking Guhle has himself a partner for Rochester.
pi2000
Well guess for rochester its not a bad signing. He's prolly better than Gorges at this point... better for Housley's system anyway.
