I agree, but the play being an inch offside had no impact on the outcome. Point I'm trying to make is get rid of the challenge. No reason to say a goal shouldn't count because it was offside 10 seconds prior. If a player is definitively offside the red would've caught it. But I'd expect it was soft tissue damage, quite likely in both the knee & ankle. The way the foot was twisted around backwards, if there was a spiral fracture in fibula there'd likely also be one in the tibia. & he wouldn't have left the ice under his own piwer w/out the leg being immobilized. They are my 2nd team and I would really love to see Ovie hoist the cup, but come playoff time they just play like garbage. They should sweep Toronto without any problems. I was shocked to see him helped off the ice without a stretcher. But with the shin pads, tape and tight solid skates, his lower leg is basically already immobilized.
