They weren't the most talented team by far, but they all played with heart and thoroughly enjoyed beating down the other teams physically and outworking them. I would take those Sabres teams over this edition ANY day. Oh and those "untalented" teams made the playoffs and actually won a series or two. This franchise has done NOTHING to show they know what they're doing. They drafted Eichel and Reinhart. Any GM and team drafting second overall could have made those picks. There is NOTHING special about this team or the current leadership. Eichel is a stud. Where is that getting us right now? Take a whole lot more than him.
