Kansas City is expected to receive a second-round pick from Washington for Alex Smith and possibly more, per source. But a second-round pick was the price as of this morning, before trade between KC and Washington finalized.

Good. He won't end up in Buffalo & Cousins is officially available. Would rather have Mayfield, but Cousins only costs money. No picks or players necessary to land him.

Bills ain't getting Mayziel ... he'll be long gone by pick 20. He was made for NY ... the next Joe Namath.

@AdamSchefter

In Alex Smith trade, Chiefs will receive third-round pick And CB Kendall Fuller, per @FieldYates. So there’s the trade.

@AdamSchefter

Kirk Cousins, the only QB ever to receive the franchise tag twice, now will leave Washington. Teams expected to be in QB market include Buffalo, Cleveland, Denver, NY Jets, amongst others.

McDermott is totally going to sign Kirk, unless the money is freakishly high. Which it could be.

Beane has stated there willbe no FA splashes, and he wants to build through the draft. When in Carolina did they make these kind of moves? What deals by them in Buffalo makes you think they'd make this kind of deal?

If anything, we get Keenum, draft a QB in the 2nd or at 22, and reload the d/o line
